i think it is because some shelters charge you for taking in a pet, these ignorant people couldn't afford or didn't want to pay to have thier female spayed and they certainly aren't going to pay an animal shelter to take them in so they figure, drop the puppies off on a rural road with some houses on it so noone will see them doing the misdeed, the puppies will be fine someone will take them in,let them be someone elses problem

I agree with you, it is cruel and should be illegal if it is not. They could at least drop them off somewhere were there are people, like the park! At least they might have a chance at finding someone to give them a home or take them to the shelter. The puppies were lucky you were there in the middle of nowhere to help, even though they ran away. It was so good of you and your husband to try and catch them.
So many people dump animals, I can't understand how they can do this. Don't they know or care what happens to these poor animals? It is so sad.
And what about the women having babies and throwing them in trash cans? What has this world come to?? Are these people just ignorant, or just cruel & heartless. I wonder.
Good question

I have 3 Cats and 2 Dogs and god forbid someone hurts one of my babies! If I would have seen this individual I would most certainly have redressed his perception on what it was he was doing.

People are cruel or just don't understand what it is they are doing. Just dropping puppies out in the middle of nowhere in the hope that someone will find them and take care of them is very cruel indeed.

Our society is loosing its moral and ethical values, these are seen as the raison d'etre for our great nation but I must say I feel the last time our Country was on such high moral grounds was right after WWII.

After that it has been all down hill and our animals suffer as well as the homeless in this country.

God forgive the person who did this but I would have kicked the living daylights out of him first.

Good luck and God bless.

Good for you for taking one in!

Some people are just lazy, selfish and cruel. I used to volunteer at a humane society and people would tie a dog to the fence in front and just leave it there at night! Right next to the sign that said abandoning a dog there was a crime.

At one point, there were a couple of big wooden boxes set up outside for folks to put contributions of pet food and supplies into and a couple of times puppies or kittens were left in the boxes. Now the boxes were well lit and clearly marked for food or supplies only, but at least 2 people ignored the signs and just dumped the litters into a box.

What if someone had dropped a 40 pound bag of dog food into the box on top of a bunch of kittens? One litter of kittens (which I fostered) was way too young to be away from their mom and in a shelter. It was sick. Good news---all of the kittens survived and were adopted out.

My sister got one of her dogs from a park near where she lives---I guess people just dump dogs there on a regular basis. My best friend got a couple of cats because she lived near a college and students would get a kitten at the beginning of the school year and in June when they had to go home they couldn't keep them, so they just let them go or dropped them off at the campus barn.

People like this just make me nuts. It's also why when I hear about someone giving away puppies for free or next to free that I want to scream---because in this sick, sick, world there are people who would treat a dog better if they had to pay for it.

Thank God for rescue groups that foster dogs, screen future owners and charge a small adoption fee.

definite, the canines has the flair to be very risky. protecting her on a leash in any respect circumstances won't remedy the difficulty as maximum medium to vast canines are lots better than they seem and have the flair to the two destroy the leash or in the event that they're that desperate, to pull the leash-holder down the line (it befell to a chum of mine). additionally, with maximum muzzles, canines can locate the thank you to tear them off or in basic terms chew by way of them. those issues won't fix the difficulty. The canines has a severe behavioral concern and needs education, no longer in user-friendly terms in an obedience classification, yet that education needs to circulate over into her each and on a daily basis existence, so as that she knows that habit is under no circumstances ideal. If the canines does not earnings from obedience college and does not exchange, she reasons available to everybody. If she bites somebody back and receives reported your mothers and fathers could be ordered to have her euthanized, and could could pay a great.

People do that because they figure they will never get caught! They don't bring them to the Humane Society out of ignorance. Why not just get their dog fixed right? There are places that will help financially. Thank you for keeping the puppy you caught! I hope the others find homes too!

You are right that is a very mean, heartless act. But puppies are expensive, especially 7 of them. Between first shots and food and the time it takes to train them the person probably got overwhelmed. I am happy you were able to save one of them. If you call your local shelter they can prob set up a trap to capture the rest. I wouldn't worry about the shelter putting them down. People usually adopt puppies over a full grown dog.

Good for you saving one of them!! Give yourself a pat on the back please, you deserve it! I swear people are sick, they dont think the lives of dogs or cats are as precious and valuable as human life.. sad but true they dont know what they are missing. 3 of my 4 cats were dumped strays 2 were just tiny kittens and were dumped in the bush on the side of the road, I could never have even left them there my heart would never let me be that cruel.. I had to save them. One of my dogs was also abandoned and I couldnt even fathom it she is such a sweetheart.. I would never in a million years drop any of my dogs or cats anywhere, nor any of their offspring(none of that tho they are fixed) I just could never do something like that and people that do are sick in the head and I hope they are cursed their whole lives to never find happiness or contentment and I hope the guilt eats them alive... The sickest part is I have to be grateful to some of those bastards because what was thrown away as garbage by them are now my greatest treasures in life... its true what they say, one mans trash is another mans treasure.

they are looking for an easy out for getting rid of the puppies and apparently don't even deserve the previledge of owning a dog as they are completely heartless in doing what they did. Sadly enough they will never be brought up on charges as they should be because there is no way to find out who did that act of cruelty.

People who do this to baby puppies wpould more than likely treat humans similarly. They need to be found and prosecuted. Thanx for saving one pup. Call animal control and see if they can find the others so they have a chance of survival too.
