I found this dog about 2 weeks ago and cannot seem to find the owner. He is a wonderful dog, housebroken, plays well with other dogs. I currently have 2 dogs, with him, I'm over my quota. I would love to keep him but like I said I live in an apartment. When we found him he had no tags and was real skinny. We have named him "Spike", my sons idea. I would really like to find him a nice home if possible in Texas. He does not chew, he loves to be around people and he likes to talk to you. He also walks really well on a leash. Can anyone help me?

I just got another dog hes only about 4-5 months maybe... I bring him home and feed him and went to pet him while he was eating.. the little guy sounded like he wanted to rip my arm off!! worst part is I know the person I got him from and he does not abuse dogs at all but I am wondering how the heck do you make a dog like that? I have only had him one full day now and already he has learned to be ok now and I have my hand right in the bowl while he eats just like my 2 dogs.. he also growled when I tried to make him go laydown once again he is now obedient and listens well but I want to know how can someone overlook something like that?? how do people let their dogs act that way? I just cant fathom it... training them otherwise is simple and takes almost no time at all... this little pup made me sad to see him like that, but now he respects me as leader and has no aggression at all. Why cant people see how to be a leader to their dogs??

Over here the Humane Society and Animal Control doesn't do a d*mn thing about dogs who live out in the country. Every day, I see at least one dead dog on the road who has been hit by a car. It is really sad, because some of these people still continue to let their dogs roam around outside even after such a loss. We have a neighbor who lets her dogs run loose, and she's lost quite a few to passing cars, and yet she STILL continues to let them run around outside. But there are no laws in the country that require a dog to be on leash or fenced.

she's a beagle pup of 5 months old, she has always been on the skinny side, but breeders / show people are saying that she is skinny and tiny for her age and needs to be plumped up, she has no puppy fat at all and never has, her back teeth have just come out and new ones coming in, i have changed her diet from pedigree puppy complete to royal canin in hope that she will enjoy a change, she would go a whole day without food and doesnt drink much either, i change her water throughout the day.. she does like however raw pet shop chicken wings and gravy bone, does anyone have any idea's?

What else would I have to worry about paying for? Would I need to pay for registration? Do I pay extra for a dog that is already housebroken? etc.

When we chase him, he justs runs more. He has a big backyard and we take him for walks. He normally listens to out commands but not when he is running.

Theres a tiny bump on my dogs leg. I noticed him limping when he first wakes up then he stops, but kept favoring his right back leg. I looked at it and eventually noticed a little bump.

It doesnt really seem to put him in alot of pain but he starts growling a little when you touch it. I looked at it, and its a little (Less than half a penny, probably the same as a pen; not the tip but the back end of a regular ball point pen) white bump. The first thing I thought was it was a tumor, but I dont think a tumor looks like that; and doubt it would be on the outside of his leg. Im taking him to a vet, but just wanted to see what you think it is?

She will run in between us and growl when he even leans in for a kiss! She would never bite unless he was beating me or something but still it is frustrating. It is getting to be a reoccuring disagreement and I want to fix this. What do I do?

We think our female was inbred from a puppy mill because I have never had a problem with a mastiff. She will be nice to people one minute and then the next she will start barking like she doesn't know who they are. We had tried to socalize her, but she just is antisocial. She could be fine in the house one minute, but then the next she chewed up our carpet and the crown molding and it would be one thing if she was a puppy, because you expect some chewing, but she is a grown dog. We can not find her a new home because she is a one family dog. She killed our nieghbors dog. I just don't know what to do with her. I am afraid she might turn on someone one day and bite them. I don't like putting animals down, but in this case should I?

I wanted on to freecycle and this lady was giving away a puppy, we have a dog, a 3 year old golden retriever, we keep him outside and in his own area because he tends to get to excited and knock down my kids, I have 3-the youngest is 5. We wanted to get another dog and she advertised a puppy terrier. when she dropped off the dog, i was not home, hubby was and when I came home from working overnight shift, I told my husband that the terrier is a pitbull terrier. Now I am worried about my kids and this pitt. Everybody says it is the way the dog was raised, etc. but sometimes, you never know, he was a rescue. He also seems like he was abused or something because he cowers in a corner when we raise our voices or tell our other dog to sit. He gets along with the golden except they play rough and he growls at the golden, when they are playing, no other time has he growled. I am not comfortable owning a pitt. should I be worried?????

I can understand stores not wanting full grown dogs wandering around the aisles but what about a puppy? Have any of you had any experience in taking your puppy to stores in the Bay Area? Btw, I will be holding her the entire time.

I have two dogs. One i love a lot because she is well behaved and doesn't bite. She knows who is boss. The other thinks she is the alpha of the group. She treats her sister very bad and doesn't even let her eat. Do you think its okay for me to be nicer to one dog in front of the other?
