I found this dog about 2 weeks ago and cannot seem to find the owner. He is a wonderful dog, housebroken, plays well with other dogs. I currently have 2 dogs, with him, I'm over my quota. I would love to keep him but like I said I live in an apartment. When we found him he had no tags and was real skinny. We have named him "Spike", my sons idea. I would really like to find him a nice home if possible in Texas. He does not chew, he loves to be around people and he likes to talk to you. He also walks really well on a leash. Can anyone help me?

Wait a minute, I had a question from a girl with a pit rescue centre the other day, hang on I'll try to find the question.

OK, here is their site:
http://www.hellobully.com/
The girl who has it loves pit bulls and is a Yahoo answers user too, see if they can help!

You should look for humane societies or rescues in your area that might be willing to take him. Look in petfinder.com and see who is nearby.

Using a humane society or rescue is your best bet. Because he is a pit, his new owners need to be screened carefully so that he does not end up with someone who might fight him or chain him out as a protection dog. These organizations have people trained to do this screening. It might be a bit of challenge though - some shelters won't accept pits, so call and ask their policy before you relinquish him.

search online to see if there are any pit rescues in your area. this dog sounds like an awesome candidate for adoption so they may be willing to help you out! i just hope you can keep him until you find a home, because he probably won't fare very well if taken to the pound.
