there is somone i know who has two dog's and one of them lickes the door like mad (the female) and i have started to notice one of my own dogs has started to do the same thing and i was just wondering if anyone else has the same problem?? or even knows why they do it??

Dogs are just weird like that. Mine licks carpet! does not matter where we are, hotels, home, family members homes-she will lay there and lick herself silly.

Maybe they want out, or like it because the door is cold. Though mine has taken an odd liking to this grease covered motor in the shop. I hope it's not anti-freeze.

My dogs both do it, but they also lick; carpet, walls, toilets, floors, washing machine, my husbands head, bath tubs, my legs, anyones ears, and anything they can get their cute little toungs on.
