My dog might have eaten my contact lens! I'm just wondering if it's dangerous at all.

It wouldn't be toxic to the dog, and it's likely that it will go right straight thru. I am not sure if I would put it in my eye ever again, but it's very likely that he'll just pass the len.

You didn't Say if it was the soft or hard contact lens. If it was the soft lens it wouldn't be dangerous. If it was the hard lens and your dog bit it into it might have some sharp edges that might tend to do some scratching or cutting. It might pass through no problem though.

I would not put anything that has been through the digestive track of a dog, or anyone else's, into my eye. That would be asking for an infection.

no its to thin of a plastic even a child could swallow it and it would dissolve from the acids in there stomachs, your dog will be fine

its ok, contact lenses are small and floppy, your dog will just poop it out.

No it will be fine. It is small and will stay plenty wet to not harden and cause damage.

Naw, it will pass on through. You probably won't want to wash and reuse, would you? It won't hurt your dog.
