There is no way to train a dog that must *live* in a crate, even if taken out for short walks. He will become insane in just a short while..seriously..You need to find him another home.

Is the crate the right size? The dog should be able to stand and turn around but no move too much. make sure he has a blanket of something comfortable to lie on. Leave the light on and make sure your other dog is not in the same room. Leave something with your scent on it in the crate. Train the dog to go in the crate: put him in while you stay in the room, give him treats and talk in a calm and reassuring voice. Extend the time he stays in the crate while you're there and then do the same thing and leave the room and shut the door. In the second phase, don't stay near the door or he'll hear you. Keep extending the time and over a few weeks he'll be fine. When you come back, reward the dog. USe something special; we used a spoonful of all meat cat food.

I'm sorry, but there is no reason to have him LIVE in a crate!

Give him love and attention. Take him out of the crate! You would bark constantly too if you were trapped all day and night with nothing to do. I'm betting if you give him nice long walks a couple of times a day, and play with him outside he will be too tired to even think about barking.

And if the two dogs really don't get along, maybe its time to think about whats best for the dog, and find him a home where someone can really love him and give him what he deserves.

Unfortunatly its NOT fair to make one of your dogs live in a crate like that, you really should make a choice pick one dog or the other and give one to a good home: where he can run free and not worry about getting in fights. Chances are he hates it in there and doesnt feel safe... Think about it, the crated dog probably isnt happy...
--Its not a good idea for anyone to have two dogs that dont get along, you cant always keep an eye on them and if you want them both to be happy you should just have one. Giving one away doesnt mean you dont love it, it means you REALLY love it and want it to be happy =)

Make him comfortable with the crate by leaving the door open during the day (when you are home) and placing favorite objects in the crate. If you give him cookies, for example, put them in the crate.

He'll become comfortable with the crate and then not bark at night.

until eventually the vacation to %. up a clean puppy is going from a Mapquest-predicted 5 hours to a real-time 13 hours. until eventually you note a sibe puppy exploring snow for the first time. until eventually you spend more beneficial on your dogs' Christmas/birthday gives you than you do for a number of your human beings until eventually you step outdoors for 5 minutes and discover your canines waiting so that you may come back at the same time as no individual else said you left. until eventually you note the look on a persons'' face once you clarify what a bully stick is xD until eventually you look someplace coated in fur and/or muddy pawprints and no individual says some thing because they know that's "basically regularly occurring Myndi dresses." until eventually your puppy "saves" a raw turkey wing below the settee. until eventually you spot the raw turkey wing per week later. until eventually you basically about spoil an ankle in a hollow dug in the outdoor... until eventually you note your old, one hundred-pound canines that not in any respect needs to play take off after a 10 pound puppy. until eventually your warmth is going out in the wintertime and your dogs save you warmth at evening. And, in spite of the undeniable fact that it would not truly count number - until eventually your cat brings you a infant snake as a contemporary. and easily no longer until eventually you spot that the snake is alive and is a really youthful, very pissed, rattlesnake.

The answer is rather simple, find the dog a home that does not require him to live in a crate.

How crule to keep that poor dog crated! You need to get rid of one of the dogs!!! I'd bark too if you locked me up for no reason!!! If he doesn't like the other dog then you need to find it a new home, not make your first dog suffer!!!
