I took my dog to the beach and he rolled in a dead seal. Now he has a fishy smell. What can I use to get rid of this horrible smell?
Please help!

Mix household hydrgen preroxide with 1/4 cup of baking soda and 1 teaspoon of dish soap. Wet the dog well, and then apply the mixture to him, everywhere but his eyes (be careful about the eyes) and allow to stay on for at least 5 minutes. rinse well, and apply any hair conditioner..
don't mix the stuff in aluminum bowl, don't put on a lid, and don't save any leftover. Use it while it is foamy.
If you don't have these ingredients, Dawn dish soap is second best..

Your best bet is a good bath. I have found a time or two when my dogs have really gotten into something bad, the only way I have been able to get completely rid of the smell is to take them to a professional groomer.
Check with your local pet store or vet to see if there are any products (shampoo's) specially made to get rid of tough odors.

Any dog that likes to roll in dead stuff can become a good cadaver dog... lol... give him a bath then hire him out... might need just a tad bit of training first.. lol..

He requires a good, long bath using a mild to medium soap.
Don't scrub too hard. Blow dry at medium level. Brush his hair after drying and fluff it. Incidentally, do not use very hot water when bathing the dog.

Dilute vinegar and soapy water. Make sure to keep it out of the dogs eyes. You also may consider shaving him/her. Make sure the hair between the paws are trimmed real short and the hair in the ears are trimmed.

Try a few cans of tomato juice, it works for skunks stink so this should work.
