Dogs - March 2007

I have a puppy 3-4 months old. She passes gas and it is so gross. How do you stop a dog from passing gas? What causes it? Any ideas? I have another dog and she has never done that and they eat the same thing.

What do you think? Her stats at ~6 months old is 18 inches from paw to shoulder and about 45 lbs. (could be more...she's H.E.A.V.Y!) She is completely brindle...not a speck of white. Her demeanor is very calm and gentle. I do not care what breed she is. I am just curious to know WHAT she is. (p.s. the seller said they paid 650 for her and if they wanted her with papers it would have been 850. Seller claims to have seen the registration papers for the dog. Hoax? hmmm....) Anyway we paid 100 for her. So here are some links to her pics.

i have a 8 m/o male chawawa ate 4, 5.5oz cans ( in 3 days ) of ol'roy beef food. it was recently recalled. i think he has been effected because he is sick!

he is vomiting yellow froth, agressive, shaking , not eating and hs red blood in his diarhea.

i have no idea what to do! i want to go to the vet but i have no money. i cant borrow money or anything. what can i do for Cale at home? i dont want him to die!!!!

PLEASE HELP!

ps. i mated him to my 4 year old female chiwawa just a Day ago. will he be ok? will mom of pups (Cleo) be ok? will pups be ok? PLEASE! i cant let my baby boy die.

Does she look more like a Pit Bull or a mixed breed? And I have read that the two resemble each other. Her stats are at 6 months are: 18 inches from paw to shoulder and about 45 lbs. She is COMPLETLY brindle. No white. A very, very dosile and gentle girl. Here are some picture of her at about 3 months.

I have fed my dogs some of the Ol'Roy foil packets. 1 packet between 2 JR terriers w/ dry food 4/5 times/week. If they are showing no signs of being sick do I still need to take them to the vet to have them checked. They have been acting normal as usual....hyper!

Dino is my dog. A while back we took him to the vet...He was really sick...We had him at the doggy Hospital for a week And 900 Dollars later we found out he had diabetes...I was floored..I never knew dogs could get get diabetes. I figured that I could handle this But It was not as easy as imagined..But it worked out fine....Then 2 weeks ago Dino started throwing up...I changed his diet and a lot of things I thought I was doing wrong (people food) that was my first guess..... Then I found about the recall on Doggy food..I put him on people food and he is OK I hope...My Question is how do I get him back on Doggy food ...which one is safe not knowing on what food is bad or good...I am Scared. He has already been thru alot...He is going blind..What next..

I have a 2 1/2 year old black lab, and I want to get her the best dog food. The recent recalls and doggy deaths have made me more aware of my purchase. I've been feeding her Purina One dry dog food, I won't go near wet or canned dog food.

Hi, i had a chihuahua /pom mix puppy in a doggie play pen today she was playing and all of a sudden she fell over she was whining like some one had hurt her and she seemed like she was in a daze she got to where she was sitting and her head was going back and forth like she was dizzy she fell over a few times i brought her in and she had trouble breathing she had pooped twice on her self it was not runny she had about 3 sezures with in a 1 hour and 30 min. time she was breathing like she was in a panic she got to the point where she could no longer sit up and her eyes stayed to one side like they were frozen in place but she could still blink her eyes a few seconds befor she passed away she had a bloody and it looked like a little bit of foaming with the blood from her mouth and nose i had also touched her belly earlyr when she had got to the point where she could not sit all the way up and she lifted her head like i was hurting her. she had fresh cold water in her pen along with .....

My dog is a 8ry old black lab. I found a wooden splinter in her leg, and have removed it, but the swelling in not going down.
I've iced her leg, and soaked in epsom salts, and the swelling goes down, but comes back withing a half hour of so. Do you think she's okay?

i have a 16 week old border collie. i believe he is purebred because i know the "father" is purebred... but unfortunately the "father" was less than a year old when is fathered. how old does a dog have to be to reproduce? are there any marking which identify a purebred border collie or a mix?

My vet told me today they have a 3 year shots for dogs and that i wouldnt have to bring my dog back for shots for 3 years do they make thesse shots or not?

She's a Black Lab mix. A little over a week ago she got skunked. I bathed her in peroxide/baking soda/soap, careful not to get any near her face. Then I took her to Petco and used the de-skunk shampoo they have (I bathed her in the self wash). I noticed shortly after that her lower eyelid (right eye only) has a couple of white spots. They're not bumps and they don't seem to bother her. It appears that the pigment has just changed. It's right where the skin meets the eye.

Anyone have any clue? Any experiences with something similar? Think it has anything to do with the baths? She is 3 so her colors are not changing at all.
