I'm not really sure...its never really bothered me although I'm not a huge fan of doggie kisses...it is kind of disturbing when you think about other dogs but when it's your dog its different.

I should stop doing that. Since I am a dog groomer, I often have puppies lick my face.
But what is wrong with that? I'd rather have remnants of dog whatnot on my nose, than halitosis from a person who has never brushed for three days.
By the way, dog lips are more sanitary than human saliva.

It is called love, when a dog licks your face it is trying to tell you that it truly loves you. Whenever i get home my dog always welcomes me back with a lick on the face.

Because some people just don't care. They love their dogs and that's that. And a wolf will lick it's leader. So the dog is saying that u r his leader.

If you would understand what the licking means to the dog AND if you loved the dog (which, clearly, you have never done) then it makes perfect sense.

LOL! Good question. I don't mind my two boys licking me, but I don't like them in my 6 mth olds face. Guess I'm just worried she could catch germs I can't. But I have always heard that a dogs mouth is cleaner than a humans.

Because you love your dog and your dog loves you. If you work all day it is their way of saying I missed you and I love you. Yes just like all the other dog lovers, dogs mouths are cleaner then ours and where has your mouth been recently??? hmmmm

Why does anyone shake hands with a man when we all know what they hold every time they pee? Oh, you say you wash your hands? Well, dogs' tongues are self-cleaning, too.
It's how dogs communicate. It's how they show affection. If I was to refuse to allow my dog to lick me, it would be seen as rejection. I love my dog and I'm not about to hurt my baby dog's feelings. My boyfriend doesn't have a problem with it and, if he did, he wouldn't be my boyfriend so I really don't care what YOU think. It's all about what my dog thinks and my dog loves me so she wants to lick my face!

Because...id be so heartbroken if my choc lab never"kissed" me again....dogs are better comapnions then humans....they are always loyal..they will love you uncondiotionally...even if they are scolded for being naughty..they will continue to run to the door everyday at 3 pm knowing you will be pulling in the driveway...dogs clocks are more accurate then alarm clocks...we love our pets.....
ask yourself this.....on the news we all hear about child abuse almost on a daily basis....sad...but we shrug it off...thats society...BUT when we hear of animal abuse....OMG dont we humans get wicked angry?
