I have fed my dogs some of the Ol'Roy foil packets. 1 packet between 2 JR terriers w/ dry food 4/5 times/week. If they are showing no signs of being sick do I still need to take them to the vet to have them checked. They have been acting normal as usual....hyper!

I would highly recommend taking both to a vet and asking to have bloodwork done to check liver and kidney values, if thre is a problem file a complaint as some future treatment may become reimbursable, the problem with not doing is you may find out that there was actually damage done months or even years down the road and then any claims for damage cannot be claimed as there is no way then to prove it was the food that caused.
When events like this happen the companies try to limit their losses, that is why they do not advise everyone to have their dogs checked out

If your dogs aren't showing any unusual signs (lack of activity, laying around, frothing, unusual stool, blood/mucous in stool, excessive drinking, or lack of drinking, etc), then I wouldn't worry about it. Just make sure to watch them and monitor their health -- always good advice, even when foods aren't recalled.

Its Iams and Eukanuba brands and nothing has actually been proven - they did a voluntary recall.
