I have a 5 month old staffie who i take out 4 long walks,the problem i have is that when we come across another dog she runs off with them and no matter how i try she wont come back to me,ive tried calling her giving her treats when she does come back but still always the same old story. please please if any1 can help i'd be really greatful as its becoming a pain now :o(

1. I have a 5 month old Yorkie and the other day I was playing w/him so, he rolled over and started bitting my hand and I noticed that he has 4 teeth behind his baby teeth (kind of like sharks teeth)... is this normal or should I take him to the doggy dentest...???

2. Like I said his 5 month and lately his fur has been falling off in chunks not alot just a few here and there (not shedding type) is this also normal??? It kind of looks like soneone pinched some off...

Our 3 month old lab puppy was fine Friday am. He was wormed Friday. Within 2 hours, he appeared sick. Called the vet, given reasurrance. Took him in Sat am when vet opened. Gave him 2 shots. Sent us home. He died Sat pm. He was healthy and robust. Vet assures us it could not have been worm medicine.

She's eleven months old and my parents are really worried that the whole house is going to smell like her. I'm afraid if I bathe her too much her coat or skin will ge too dry. Those familiar with the breed know that Chesapeakes have a sort of musty dog odor within a week or two of being bathed.

i was wrestling with my dogs weimereimer as usual.... but something bad happened this time....... i swept him off his feet on hardwood floor., his leg got jammed on carpet.......... s he seemed fine after a bit.... but dogs owner reports that Bella (the dog) had a swollend ankle the next day and she was just laying down not really trying to get up.......... the dog is about 2 years old what could of possibly happened

when can a yorkie go from a crate to one of those cute lil beds you can buy at a pet store?
Also i have not got my yorkie yet but i plan on it very soon. im just doing all my reserach about the pup first. i want to know as much as i can so if you have any advice/tips please help. thanks so much for your time and take care

I picked up my Shiba Inu puppy from the breeder on saturday and she is very shy and fearful. She refused to eat until last night and is not playful at all. If someone besides me is near, she starts shaking. She goes potty in our yard okay and drinks water, but when I let her down she either gets under my bed or under the sofa. What can I do?! Im having second thoughts about what I have done =[

I gave him a (spectra 8) Parvo shot that we used to use at the shelter. I am pretty sure it is 3 week intervals, but is it different for a 3 month old pup with no vaccinations? I also wormed him. Porr guy looks healthy as ever. I am afraid of Parvo showing up all of a sudden. Its probably paranoya, but I want to prevent it the best I can. I love him.

im getting a yorkie in near future. i have never owned a dog at all so i think getting all the knowledge 1st is a smart way to go as a dog owner. i live in a apt and spending time to train and take care of it will not be a prob. cause i work from home. with this said i was given a example training schedule to go by can you please let me know if it is a good on for me or not thanks alot :)
7am>take pup outside
7:15-7:30am>kitchen playtime
7:30>feed time(allow 15-20 min for feed time)
8am>take pup out to potty then confine pup in crate as i go about my day.
12pm>take pup out
12-12:15pm>kitchen play time
12:15pm>feed and water
12:45pm>take pup out
1pm>confine to crate
5:30-6pm>take pup out
6:15-6:45pm>kitchen play time
6:45pm>feed and water
7pm>take pup out
7-9pm>supervised exploration (not sure what that means)
9pm>take pup out
9:15pm>confine in crate
9:30-10pm>kitchen play time
10:15pm>confine to crate
11pm>take pup out confine to crate overnight

My 6 moth old puppy was throwing up and I took her to the emergency hospital/vet I was told she had parvol and had to pay 589.00, she was there for 24 hrs, we picked her up and took her to her own vet I was told she only had gastritis, and that she had her vaccine for parvol wish I showed the emergency Doctor and he ignore it. I want my money back, but was not able to put a stop payment, since I paid with credit card, please advice.

I dispise small dogs, i live in NYC and i really want a medium to large low maintenence dog...any suggestions? I was going for an english bulldog but they are SO expensive and EXTREMELY high maintenence
