For un-knowledgable people out there (I am not saying you the poster of the question) Malamutes, Siberian Huskies, Alaskan Huskies, and Eskimo Dogs are all diffrent breeds and have diffrent tendencies, but they all have one thing in common, they are WORKING sled dogs. They are very highly intellegent and active animals. They are not house pets and dont make real excellent strictly house dogs, I didnt say everyone of them but that the breed in general is not a good canadate for just being a couch potato and looking pretty tied to a tree in the back yard.
I had a Malamute mix named Tuhmanee and she was one of a rare "best dog in the world" dog. Though without experiance the wrong kind of person can ruin a Malamute if they dont take the time to really research the dogs behavior tendencies and needs.
