I Took My French Bulldog 3 months to the vet for his jabs and The Vet asked me if I was planning on "breeding" , I said " No "....
So HE SAID : the BEST IS TO HAVE HIM NEUTERED then .. !!
He told me to do the OP when he is 8 month old ...
I would like to know from people who had dog neutered ... , If They find a difference in Behavior of the dog ... Is it really necessary ? what is the point ? .... I do not know ...I would like to keep him the way he is .... , but I DON`T WANT a CRAZY DOG ...
who goes sniffing every butt he sees ! .. what is the best solution for the dog and I ?

I was looking through the pets section in our local paper and came across a phenomenon I am curious about.
Mixed breed dogs, for all intents and purposes are mutts. So what makes some of them worth $300+? peekapoo's for example. Can't register them with the AKC, can't show them at AKC shows...they are essentially worthless except for a loving family pet...yet is that all that makes them worth 300(i've seen them for 650 or more also). granted you take two purebred parents to make the baby, but the baby is a mutt.
except for love of the dog, what makes it worth it?

he is a lab and he is only 8 weeks , i got few days ago , i fed him the same food he used to have but the first few days he did not potty much , maybe once or twice a day and only today he is being better with pottying but he wont stop farting ,, he does not cry and he drink alot of water and sleep and play with the other puppy alot , he seems normal but that , i feed him 3 times aday ,, should i take him to the vet ?

We have a 4 month old male cavalier king charles and I would like to get another. Our male will be desexed in a few months. Does it matter which sex we get, do 2 males get along better or the other way around? Obviously I want them to get along and be good friends. Any suggestions please??? The next one will be de-sexed also.

I have had a springer spaniel since she was a pup, she is now 11.When we got her we had a golden retriever but she sadly died when my springer spaniel was 5.My springer had always had a loving nature, then Nearly two months ago we got a new cocker spaniel who is 3 years old.At first our springer spaniel hated her an there was lots of fighting an jealousy, after about 2 weeks they were getting on great and lying on each other all cuddled up.But the last week my springer spaniel has come in to season.and so the last week there has been really aggressive fights and my springer has even gone to bite me and my family she has never done anything like this before.But i really do fear for my cocker spaniel as my springer is going to kill her please some one help!

is it normal for a female dog to stand on her front paws and walk while she urinates ? it does,nt run down it,s not unsimilar to a fountain,

i beleive they are a dangerous dog in the uk a 5 year old girl was savaged to death recentley by one there were 14 cases in 2006 relating to pitbull incidents alone in the uk they are classed as a dangerous dog here i beleive any dog can attack you but i own 3 shih zus and they are bred as pets they dont have the tendencey to want to bite anyone i beleive pitbulls have the killer instinct in them hence the name pit they are bred to fight in a pit in some parts of the world they are banned as pets so if they are not a dangerous dog why is there such a wide spread ban i would be intreseted in other people opinions and no stupid answers like all dogs bite as have you ever heard of a smaller dog like a spaniel or a westhighland terrier savaging someone to death!!!!!!!

I thinking of getting a dog and I live in Australia. Holistic select dog food looks like a good brand and isn't too expensive well I don't think so. Is it more compared to other brands? i wouldn't know so tell me if it's cheaper,same or expensive.
Also is it healthy?
Tell me anything about it if you've used it.
Go to www.petdeli.com.au to have a look at it and decipher the ingredients for me and tell me if it's healthy or not.

I have two puppy yorkies a 9 month female and 6 month male. She just went into heat, he doesn't seem interested in her, which is good. I plan to breed her at 24 months, not right now. Is he too puppy to be interested in her, he seem to be ignoring her while other dogs are barking at her, does that mean he is to puppy to be interested. Should I be seperating them. I am neutering him, but scheduled later in the month.
