I have 3 beautifull babys wich people call vicious, but i dont think so and i would like to see what other think.....

We're the most dangerous species of all. Maybe we should be "banned".

Banning pit bulls won't keep the public safe from aggressive German Shepherds, Rottweilers, black Labradors, mutts, Chow-Chows, Doberman's, Akita's, and every other breed that's ever attacked, mauled, or killed someone. So, it would make more sense to just ban ALL dogs, altogether; If you're going to be that "extreme" in trying to keep the public safe from aggressive dogs. When BSL laws get passed, it simultaneously punishes innocent dogs, and responsible dog owners. Is this fair? Should my dogs be punished for what the dogs down the street did? When it comes to dog-attacks, it should be dealt with on an individual basis. You don't need to punish the whole barrel when dealing with a few bad apples.

I think its all in how you raise the dog. Statistically speaking chiwawas (sorry dont know how to spell it) bite alot more people in the U.S. than pit bulls. Of course pit bulls cause alot more damage when they do bite but the bigger the breed the bigger the damage. Not sure on the exact year but the AKC named the pit bull as the best family dog and then recieved so many complaints they recanted. Sucks HUH? Punish the deed not the breed!!!

God no! BSL is horrible and pitbulls are lovely. It's the stupid owners! It makes me so mad to see people who agree with it plus the majority of dog bites are by dogs who aren't even on the restricted breed list! Plus most of the time the media or the person who reported a dog attack have no clue of what breed the dog was so they always assume. If you look at a story they never say they actually caught the dog who attacked so they have no bloody way of prooving it!!!!
I'm fuming just thinking about it!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had my pit for 2 yrs now, and he is the sweetest dog anyone have ever seen (i have fact and reference to back up this statement). in fact my chihuahuas is the one that pick on him. you know why he so gentle, because, i didn't raise him to fight or kill peoples. in fact, the only thing i did, is give him my full love and attention and he pretty much did the rest.

So do some research before you start stereotyping.

Gee. I love pit bulls. But I also detest dog fighting.

My choice would be keep the pit bulls and spay/neuter and kennel the idiots that train and fight these animals.

Defineely save the pit Bulls , It is the ignorant owners that need to chang the way they raise and treat these beautiful animals.
I have 3 myself and I would never give them up.

I am sorry but I am for the BSL . Due to the fact that kids have been losing half their faces and most importantly their lives to these dogs . and the fact that we all pay for these acts by these dogs in the way of higher house insurance bills , higher medical insurance (to cover folk that cannot afford medical insurance),higher hospital bills ,you name it ,we all pay for it in one way or another . sorry but I think something must be done . How many more kids have to die before something is done about these dogs ? I am for the Bsl.

Every breed was bred for something specific. Herding, retrieveing, etc. Pits were bred for gruesome dog fighting in old England. And they are still being bred for fighting. They are the breed of choice of druggies, and criminals and dog fighters. SO YES, THEY SHOULD BE BANNED BECAUSE WE DONT NEED ANY BREEEDS FOR DOG FIGHTING WHICH IS ILLEGAL AND INCREDIBLY CRUEL. tHEY FIGHT TO THE DEATH IN LONG TORTURED BLODDY FIGHTS. Is that what you want to save them for? You cant ban the bad owners or the way they treat them. In fact insurance companies dont insure houses with certain dog breeds which they deem dangerous. Pits and rotts.

Sorry sweetie they are, and you or anyone else, can not....change their nature.
In fact! where I live...children have been loosing half their faces!!! due to these very insecure dogs....that go!-for-it!! at a whim.One will NEVER know, when, they wish to attack!
