My dog is a beautiful sheltie and is 11 years old and I understand that her "hair follicles" have died in her tail and it looks like a rat tail and is ugly looking. Is there any kind of medication or vitamins that can cure this problem?

She had to get spayed due to a womb infection. She is spoilt rotten and very beautiful. The lady who grooms her has told me to get the weight off her. I feed her butchers, only a few spoonfuls mixed with chicken and some veg. She may get alittle bit of something in the mornings if she is hungry. I love her very much but feel I am overfeeding her , what is the best way to get weight off her without being too drastic.

I have recently purchased a new puppy. She is awesome in everyway except she barks or yaps when she has to stay in her playpen. She is almost pottie trained and we have only had her for less than a week but I don't feel comfortable in letting her roam around the house without supervision.

My question is....does this ever stop?

Thanks

I have noticed my dog has a little fleshy colored goopy looking thing in the corner of her left eye by her nose. I tried looking it up but with no prevail.

I tried to rinse it out with eye drops the vet gave me and I tried to gently wipe it out by rubbing her eye, but it won't come out. Maybe it's part of her eye.

My sister's dog has a tear duct problem and now he has a small tumor on his eye forever, I don't want that for my puppy.

I hope I'm just being a hypochondriac.... anyone have any ideas?

If it matters she's a 2 year old Jack Russel Terrier. I don't have the money right now to take her to a vet if it's nothing important. Please help.

Sorry I don't have any pictures of it but I hope you can help from my description.

Ok, I am doing an assignment for one of my class and want to draw a picture of a dog.

The dog I'm looking for is the one with lots of saggy skin around it's body and especially it's face. I am looking for this particular dog because it reminds me of an old man. Lol. Please help!

Either a:
- Maltipoo (Maltese + Poodle)
- Maltese
- Chihuahua
- Yorkie/Chihuahua

Those are the only ones I want, unless you find an even cuter dog.
Please my birthday is coming up and I need to find a shelter or something. I don't know where to look so pleasee.
It can't be more than $200.

Thanks you in advance.

if i say 'come' he comes but he never actually comes to my hand so i can never leash him up. also, if there is another dog he won't even bother listening to me. what can i do? this might get out of control when he gets older.

and he doesn't care that i have treats in my hand even when he sees it

This is the 2nd infection. I followed the vet's instructions, cleaning her ear and putting the medicine in. She is still shaking her head a lot and scratching her ear. Is there anything else I can try?

My dog is 17 years old. and she's not totally brain dead, but she is having trouble walking, seeing, and she's also having trouble holding her bladder, I love my dog to death, i've had her since i was 4, and i don't want to lose her. But i want to do what's best and right for her. I'm just torn on what exactly that would be. When is it right or okay to put a dog to sleep? and what's the best way to make that decision? Because I'm being selfish, and I need to think about what she needs. Thank You.
