I have noticed my dog has a little fleshy colored goopy looking thing in the corner of her left eye by her nose. I tried looking it up but with no prevail.

I tried to rinse it out with eye drops the vet gave me and I tried to gently wipe it out by rubbing her eye, but it won't come out. Maybe it's part of her eye.

My sister's dog has a tear duct problem and now he has a small tumor on his eye forever, I don't want that for my puppy.

I hope I'm just being a hypochondriac.... anyone have any ideas?

If it matters she's a 2 year old Jack Russel Terrier. I don't have the money right now to take her to a vet if it's nothing important. Please help.

It could be a prolapsed 3rd eyelid. That looks like a rather blood red little structure in the corner of the eye. I do not know for sure about JRT's, but I know on many breeds this is common. It is sometimes called cherry eye if you want to look it up. There is a link to an image below. Your dog does NOT have to have droopy eyes for this. My Beagle has it, it is common to the breed.
It can resolve on it's own, but comes back in most cases. It can be surgically repaired but most dogs live quite contentedly with it. Sometimes it can get infected if it is being irritated or scratched so I would recommend NOT trying to wipe it out any more. Just kiss your puppies snout and love him. He is who he is! :-D
Good luck, HTH

It sounds as if it may be the beginning of a cherry in the eye. You may try looking that up, and finding what treatment is recommended for that. I know sometimes they resolve on its own, but other times they do need to be treated by a veterinarian. Good luck, and best wishes to your pet!

the best thing to do is to see the nurse at the vets they cost nothing, or if you are in the PDSA catchment area take her there they will do everything for free if you can prove you cant afford it hope this helps
