I love all dogs have 3. I prefer the poodle mixes becuase the are almost non-shedding completely.

If you are in the houston area my neighbor works for Animal control and he is fostering a really cute black and white chihuahua she is leass thana year and was take from the owner becuase he was a very mean person.

I personally have a miniture poodle, cockapoo and a boxer/ shepherd mix. All three are super sweet.

My cockapoo is definately the most laid back dog she is a true coach potato and was super easy to train, loves everyone, even 2 yearl olds and nippy puppies. Only barks when she hears someone at the door.

My poodle is really sweet and adores my 2 year old constantly tries to sneak in her bed. she does bark more than I would like, but makes up for it by how sweet she is.

My boxer shepherd mis is full grown at about 40 lbs so way bigger than what you are looking for but, she is my baby, and I love her to death (she sheds alot)

I think Yorkies are very cute, but remember that terriers can be headstong and lean towards yappie, very smart dogs but can try to take over :) They can make wonderful family members becuase they are loyal and loving, I guess this could be any dog lol.

Also some of the dogs on your list have long hair and require daily brushings and grooming. My poodle I trim every couple of months. the et a close cute and then grow into big poof balls.

You will find tons of little guys at the adoption places

some other cute choices are boston terrier, french bulldog, pug, pomeranian

There are several Yorkie rescue groups in our area so check your area.

It will be really hard to get even a shelter dog for less than $200. I don't know where you are but here in California, they run about $250. Also, I am not sure you will find any of those breeds in a shelter as they are all relaly popular right now.

There are other things you need to consider as well. Do you live in a house or apt? Do you have kids? How much grooming do you want to do? I recommend the breed finder quiz on iams.com

Good luck searching. When you get there, I always see a lot of animals in the paper or PennySaver and they are probably cheaper than anywhere else.

You really need to visit shelters in your area. A purebred form a breeder will cost you FAR more than $200.00, so your best bet is adopting one from a shelter, but you may have to settle for a similar breed (a mixed breed). Be sure you undertsand the responsibility of pet ownership. It's a full time job, not a "sometimes" job only when you feel like it. And I agree with JasSays. Sounds like you want US to find one for you. We cannot do that for you.

Did you know maltese dog has been voted one of the top most dogs that are given away after a while as they are yappe and also tend to bite.Poodles too can be a bit agro, I would go for the last two on the list.

search the web with words something like "adopt dog Maltese Missouri" (use whatever state you live in) and if there are shelters near you that have any available for adoption, you can look at their website for more details

Well, if you want a dog for 200$, I think it will have to be a mix breed one. The Maltipoo sounds cute.

Well I personally like bigger dogs, but I would choose a Chihuahua if I was you.
