Dogs go into heat every 6 months or so starting between 6 and 9 months of age. The cycle lasts for about 3 weeks and there is no "season" for it. While in heat, dogs bleed a little and need doggie diappers (unless you want blood spots every where they go). Also, a dogs behavior could change, they could become more aggressive or go into hiding. Dogs are very like humans in that they have their own personalities and there are no set rules for their behavior and cycles.

When a boy dog and a girl dog like each other very much, they rub their noses together and that makes a little baby dog inside the girl dog. A long time later the baby dog will wake up and come out of the mummy dog, and pretty soon learn to woof-woof, walk, play catch, and will then advance to skipping doggy school, smoking weed, dating trashy mongrel dogs, and end up begging for scraps outside the local McDonald's.
