I just bought a house, and although this wasn't noticed initially, the house is infested with small cockroaches. The pest control guy who gave me an estimate said the vibrations of our presence is what brought them out. We haven't moved our belongings in yet, but when we started cleaning, they made their presence known.

Yesterday, there were these fogger types things set off in the house. Then this morning, he went around with his squirt bottle thing and sprayed every nook and cranny, inside and out, including the perimeter of our yard. He double dosed the strength. This evening, there is going to be another round of foggers set off.

My question is if we go in the house tomorrow afternoon, and mop all the tile floors, vacuum the carpets in the bedrooms, and wipe down the countertops, door knobs, etc, along with opening the windows for a few hours, will it be safe to bring our dogs inside to live this soon? We have a Pekingnese and a chihuahua. He said it's fine, but...

Our normally lively schnauzer is very subdued today, just sitting in her crate, and not eating or drinking. She is dry-heaving as well.

She seems to be sitting rather than lying down, too.

She did have a shot three days ago, and had a bit of an alergic reaction, but seemed fine after an anti-hystemine (sp?) shot.

My question is, do I need to go to the emergency vet now (Sunday evening), or can I wait until tomorrow morning and see how she's doing?

Thanks

My 1 1/2 year old Dachshund keeps vomiting about once ever couple days or so. I use to think it was because I gave him people food so I stopped doing that but he still gets sick. It's been happening on and off for the past couple months and I've already tried to change his food. I don't really have a lot of money to take him to the vet since I'm a poor college student so I was wondering if anyone knew anything I could give him to help him. Or if you know whats wrong with him. Thanks.

I want one but I have a real small place but I plan on taking it everywhere with me. If you do ALOT of socializing will they still be aggressive to strangers? Also if they are outside with you will they stay close or run off? Potty training also, I have read its easy and read its not, which one is it? I am looking at a female 8 wk old puppy right now. Really want some personal experence.

I've taken him to training and have had german shepherds before and he is a smart dog. However, whether he's on the lead or off it as soon as he sees a car he wants to be off after it. On the lead it is easier to deal with, i.e swift u-turns if he starts pulling, making him wait etc but as soon as he's off the lead nothing you can say stops him or brings him back until he's ready. Tried rewards too but nothing!!! If you put him on the lead as a car is approaching and wait until way after it has gone past as soon as you let him off again he's off down the lane after it!!! (Never let him off near any main roads). Please can anyone help as i'm worried he's going to hurt himself?!

My dog has NEVER pee'd in the house. She just had puppies early this morning and about an hour ago she went through the house and pee'd on 2 rugs...luckily we have hard wood floors or I would REALLY be upset. Does she do this to protect her puppies? What's going on??

Her fur is long and is now all matted. She just had the puppies this morning so I wasn't sure if it would be a good idea.

My dogs are loaded with static electricity, Both sheperd mixes, Kelly, the Aulstralian Sheperd mix, is the worst. You can't pet her at all with out sparks...I must admit, that at night when it's really dark out, it is incredible to watch, she sparks alover the place. However I'd like to stop it. Other than a bath... any sugestions?

I've worked nearly ten hours today and I'm dead beat, but I don't feel I could actually rest. Can anyone suggest anything fun, (and preferably mindless- don't direct me to sites on philosophy!)-fun, light and entertaining on the net? Some new site pleeeeease!!
