depends on the care of the dog, the breed and if they just like humans STAY healthy. But on average I would say a dogs life
is approx. 10-15 years.
I love my dog too, she is 13 years old and I can't stand the thoughts on living without her, she brings me so much happiness.
Good Luck. :-)))

Depends on the breed. Larger breeds usually live between 8 and 12 years on average. Smaller breeds can live as long as 22 years. The average for a small dog is about 15 years.

Each breed of dog is unique so the life span is different. Larger dogs tend to live shorter becasue of hip problems, heart and so on. Little dogs have shown a longer lifespan compared to larger breeds. But some little dogs like the miniture poodle have a shorter lifespan due to problems with allergies, and skin disease. If you take really good care of you dog, do the yearly visits, exercise and feed it the right food then your dog will have a great life expectancy. On average a healthy dog with no problems can live up to twelve to sixteen years!!! Thats plenty of time to cherish you little one.

It depends on the breed and the living conditions that it grew up with.
I have a Jack russelll and he is 20 pounds I dont know what kind of dog you have but for his size and the way he is taken care of He can live up to 15 years or more.
Check out your breed online and see what the life expectancy is.

It depends upon the size of the dog. The large the breed, the shorter the life span (in general).

Generally the smaller breeds of dogs live much longer than the larger breeds! I had a small chau/mix (PENNY) that died last year at 16 yrs old!
