Got two labrador puppies last fri night. From the breeder, they gave us the food that she were feeding them on, which is pedigree complete mix. One of them loves it and one of them doesnt! The one who doesnt isnt eating much and is very skinny.(and has diahera) We took her to the vet and she said it could be an infection, so gave some antibiotics. And to feed her chicken and rice as the pedigree is too rich for her tummy. She didnt like that either. One of them has gained 5 lbs in a week, and the one who doesnt eat has gained 1lb. They are both fed the same amount. What do I feed the fussy one? Just before she was sick, so her tummy is epmty again. help! She really needs to gain some weight!

My dog had a litter of two puppies a few hours ago and she has only fed them ones. We think that she has post pardom dippression or something but yeah. so we either have to force her to feed them or we have to feed them our selves. So we have to know how often to feed them!

I have a 2 year old mixed-breed male with all his parts..and I want him to keep them! Trouble is, here in the spring and fall, he escapes from our fenced-in yard to look for booty in the neighborhood. The biggest problem with this is that we live next to a very heavily traveled road and he has no qualms about crossing it in search of doggy-booty! When it´s not the season for dog-sex he stays in the yard without being chained like the good dog he usually is. This time of year we can´t leave him alone 5 minutes before he gets out and follows his nose to the next female dog (Yahoo bleeps the b-word!) in heat. I don´t want to chain him in the yard because that´s not the point of being outside. Will greatly appreciate any real help with this matter. Please do not suggest I have him neutered..I feel he has the right to keep all the parts he was born with and canine genital mutilation is a big of a crime as human genital mutilation.

My two dogs are driving me crazy. One is a golden retriever mix (male) and the other is a basset hound (female). They get along for the most part, but they are always wrestling. It's like they are trying to pin each other down to establish which one is dominant and which one isn't. I really am not sure if that is the case or if they are just playing. It drives me crazy because they do this ALL the time. Occasionally one of them will hump the other, sometimes the male (fixed) and sometimes the female (not in heat). The basset hound was definitely the dominant dog when we first got the male dog, and now it's like he's trying to run the show. She's been real whinny lately too. They chase each other and one will bite the other on the neck (gently, as in playing) and hold it down. They have never hurt each other, just frustrate each other. Do you think they are just playing or is there more to it?

I just got him yesterday and gave him some can food. He doesn't want to drink any water, so I'm giving it to him with a seringe. I think that he was still drinking his mother's milk, so I need some advice. I have never had any puppy that was so small, I just don't want him to be sick and also how much food do I give him. He seems happy and he's playing and everything, so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks guys

Alaskan Malamute female, gets a good run in at least 4 times a week. She's a mid-aged outdoor dog and gets very little people food. Male partner dog eats the same food, gets same exercise, yet he's trim. Both dogs are fed according to amount of food for age and weight. Any helpful tips?

My puppy is 6 mos. old and he was neutered on Thursday. He's seemed fine since he came home, but today he seems to have lost all bladder control. He keeps peeing somewhere (on the bed, carpet, etc.) every 20 minutes or so, which is very unlike him (he usually asks to go outside!). He seems a little lethargic (and a little more affectionate than normal), but otherwise is acting fine. Any thoughts as to what could be going on? Also, should I take him to an emergency vet or try to call his vet tomorrow once it's open? Thanks for any advice you might have.

We have a large dog that constantly hits our sliding glass door when he is outside and wants in. We have tried everything we know to get him to stop. Any suggestions? (He also, scratches at the utility door when he wants out) It's a my way or the highway kind of thing for him, not an abusive or neglected problem.
