I have a vet appointment for him tomorrow, but today I noticed blood in his stool. Do you know what this could possibly be from

Scooting across the ground is a sign that thier anal sacs need to be emptied. The vet can perform this - it is a gland that can become irritated and swolen. Good thing you are taking him to the vet, this can be very irritating for the dog.

Could be many causes, anal glands being too full, or could be some sort of gastrointestinal upset. Worse case scenario is he chould have some intestinal problem perhaps because of swallowing something.

See your Vet ASAP. Blood in he stool is always treated as serious.
