Just take the dog to the vet, Under no circumstances should you ever attempt to anesthetize any animal yourself, or perform any complicated medical procedures. You most likely don't have the knowledge to safely remove the mole using sterile equipment and the proper procedure. If you were to incorrectly remove the mole, your dog could end up a heck of a lot worse than he is now.
Please, just take him to the vet. It will be much better for him, as the procedure will be done correctly.
(And 60lbs is awfully big for a Cocker Spaniel...you may want to either double check his weight, or have the vet give you a diet plan for him.)

Consult with your vet. Some moles and stys are best left alone if not scraping on the eye itself. You can tell when you look at the white of the eye and if it is red and irritated you need to have it professionally removed. If it is not scraping the eye or obstructing vision, many recommend leaving it alone.
This is not a do-it-yourself job.

You shouldn't. Dogs need blood tests before they undergo anasthesia, to see how they react to the drugs. They need to be monitored prior to going under to make sure they don't have food or water for determined periods of time. Unless you are a vet tech, or have access to such medical technology, then I would urge you to follow the conventional expenses of going to a vet.
Putting a dog under is considered a dangerous procedure when you don't know how your dog reacts, when you're not able to monitor his heart rate, his breathing, or any other status indicators. I think if you're looking to do this cheaply, you need to accept the notion that you are *very* likely to kill or maim your dog permanently. It sounds like you do care for your dog's health -- so make sure your decision includes not just the current situation, but your future with him.

you can't. well, i bet you could, but that's not the best option ever. if you don't have the money to have a vet do it then just see if they will let you pay only half or maybe less. that's what happened to me with my puppies. and maybe you should try feeding your dog a little less food, because i have 2 spaniels and they weigh 30lbs and 25lbs.and my vet said that 30lbs was a good weight range to stay in and that she shouldn't get any heavier.

Good grief, don't try to do anything like this yourself! Take the dog to the vet, that is your responsibility as a pet owner!

60 lbs is way too large for a Cocker Spaniel (see the breed standard). Have your vet check your dog's eye, and ask his recommendations for a weight loss program for your dog while you're at it.

Please don't be ridiculous. When you took this creature into your home you made the committment to care for it properly. Take the animal to a vet where it can be cared for properly.
