I think the dog's just kinda singing along with you. When I watch television and get cranky and start swearing about baseball or whatever, my dog'll start growling right along with me. They're quite social creatures, and I bet there's some sort of mimicry happening. But I don't your dog is scared.

You ever notice that if you raise your voice to tell the dog to stop barking, it'll only bark louder? But if you're calm and quiet, they'll follow your lead? I think it's like that.

My dog and my sister-in-laws dog always come when I sneeze. It's like they are checking I'm OK.

your prob startling your dog. it might also be the high pitch noise that is hurting their ears. i don't think dogs have ever heard of the plague (where bless you comes from) if you reacted when they did it the first time then it's prob now a habbit!

It probably hurts his ears. No offense intended.

My dog hows when the Vonage commercial comes on (the "whoo whoo whoo whoo whoo" song).
