Our normally lively schnauzer is very subdued today, just sitting in her crate, and not eating or drinking. She is dry-heaving as well.
She seems to be sitting rather than lying down, too.
She did have a shot three days ago, and had a bit of an alergic reaction, but seemed fine after an anti-hystemine (sp?) shot.
My question is, do I need to go to the emergency vet now (Sunday evening), or can I wait until tomorrow morning and see how she's doing?
Thanks

You should go to the vet. It could be that your schnauzer ate something she shouldn't have. Not eating or drinking is not a good thing, but it's not a life-threatening case I suppose. Because she is not laying on her tummy, she may have pain there; perhaps something is stuck. Are there any toys missing?
You could wait until tomorrow, but it would suck to wake up at 2 in the morning if she were sicker and have to get to the vet ASAP
PS - the vaccine reaction could be totally unrelated

I would take her in today. I had a boxer that was doing the same thing. We took him into the vet. He had ingested something that was not digestible. He would have died had we not taken him in. They pumped him full of liquids and it all came out in the end (no pun intended). If we had waited, it would have not been a good outcome.
Dry heaving means that they are not able to eat. And if she's not laying down, it's because it's painful or at least uncomfortable to do so.

Oh that is a very tough one, keep a close eye on her. If she starts to go into distress you have a real emergency and when you go to the emergency clinic you will have to make sure they see you right away. Some clinics don't have triage which is foolish. Do you have any liquid Benadryl or the like on hand just in case, or pills? Being that she was given an anti histamine for a shot reaction it might be something to locate in case any is in the house.

Call you vet's after hours emergency service and tell them about the vaccine and the reaction. Lethargy, vomiting, not eating or drinking are all signs of a problem. Call them and ask if it's an emergency or not. They can advice. Minimally, your dog needs fluids.

The side effects of the antihistime would have shown sooner than this. A sudden loss of appetite and energy in any animal is a big red flag. Take her to your vet ASAP.

take her to the vet immediately, it might be something alot more serious than an allergic reaction, which might not have been stopped by the antihistamine shot! if it wasnt totally stopped in its tracks she might have kidney failure. dont wait, just go!

ANTIHISTAMINES MAKE PEOPLE AND DOGS SLEEPY. MY SHEEPDOG MAX USE TO PANIC DURING STORMS SO WE'D GIVE HIM FOR HIS SIZE A 25MG OF BENADRYL. IT HAD HIM SLEEP FOR HOURS. HE'S MISERABLE FOR A WHILE SO GIVE HIM A DOG BISCUIT BECAUSE HE PROBABLY HAS DRY MOUTH- IT DRIES YOU UP- AND MAYBE PUT - NO LIE- SOME GATORADE IN HIS WATER TO GET HIM HAPPPY AND GOING AND SPIKE HIS TASTE BUDS- CLEAR GATORADE. MY CAT LOVES IT BUT NOT ALL THE TIME. TRY IT. I F THAT DOESN'T HELP THEN TAKE HIM TO THE VET. HE SOULD BE FINE IN 24 HRS.

This is your dog and you know her. As she seems to be acting very strangely I would be talking to a professional rather than waste my time on here.
You just reminded me why I got so sick of people in this category!!!
