Can you use moisturizers for people or do they make ones specifically for dogs?

I am worried about my dog and was googling dogs and salmonella when I ran across a similar question here. I don't know how this works, but I signed up to get an anwer. I give my 9-month old lab the recalled peanut butter on a Kong toy, about 1-2 tablespoons everyday for a week now. He doesn't seem to be sick, but it's hard to tell. I'm not calling the Emergency Vet yet, but I am worried. I don't know what to look for. He is whiney, but I think it's just because he wants to play pletch 24/7 and I'm not aiding him in that goal. Help?

I love animals and dogs of all kinds. I want to adopt from a shelter, but right now that won't work because there's no small puppies (I need a puppy to get used to my cats.) I also live in a small apartment so I cannot have a large dog. I've decided I want a Chihuahua. I've heard they're great dogs for apartments (I actually live in a large townhouse with a small private yard). Is there anything specific I should know about Chihuahuas or watch out for?

My wife and I try to abopt animals when we can. We noticed that in many areas where there are dog tracks there are listings for Greyhound adoptions. We have a large house but a small yard. Are racing dogs trainable and if they are, what do they need to be happy?

My beagle just passed away and my lab is lonely, and I think it's time to get another dog. I've been searching online and I really like the weimaraner and the mastiffs. Any advise which dog is likely to get along with my lab? I'm looking for a dog that will protect my house and yet be friendly as well. Not too agressive. Thanks

Her nose is wet and cold. She gets shivers, but always does when she doesn't feel well or is scared. She deficated and urinated today and drank just a little water. Has not thrown up since last night, but is worn out and not hungry.

My dog is very active and depending on the weather I walk her daily. We just go hit with a pretty bad snow stom and for the past couple weeks it's been extremely cold. I tried to teach her to walk on the tread mill but she just sits on it and is scared of it. Anyone ever train their dog to walk on a treadmill? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

He just won't eat what I put in his bowl. Yes, I slowly but surely gave him the habit of having some of "my food" and now he snubbs his own. I tried to give him no more but he did'nt eat the dog food for 48 hrs and I felt he would "starve" and gave in. Is there a way to get him back to the right food?

I have a 6 month old westie-pug mix. The problem is that when she is sleeping, she will go potty. She is also having a hard time getting house broken, she just seems to go whenever and wherever she is. Is there a chance that she has a much deeper problem then just a small bladder?

Problem with black lab?
I have a 16 month old black lab / greyhound dog that i got from a rescue shelter 4 months ago. She is an inside dog. She is good about going outside to pee during the day and she has no problem going through the night without having to go to the bathroom.

The problem is that if she has to go into her crate for any period of time (when she is home alone), she gets so stressed out that she pees in her crate. I have tried leaving a radio on in the room when she is left in her crate, but that does no good.

Any suggestions?
