Ear mites are NOT common in dogs..many people think their dogs have ear mites when in reality they have an infection.
Ear mites are microscopic bugs. They cause severe itching and can cause serious damage to the inner ear.

If your dog is having a problem with it's ears take it to the vet for proper diagnosis and treatment. Do NOT self medicate!!! Doing so can cause serious damage even deafness.

They are an ear infection caused by bad hygiene.
I recommend that you ask you vet what the proper
treatment would be for them.
After that be sure and keep you dogs ears clean.
What I do with my dogs is I clean their ears with peroxide
at least twice a week maybe more if its a outside dog.

Hope this helps

The dog will shake its head and ears a lot and there is medicine that can be bought for it.Mites are more comman in a long eared dog.
