start with putting the leash on in the house and letting her drag it around to get used to it. some pups resent being confined and not let to walk where they want. let her have her head...(walk on leash where she wants) for a bit with SLOW minor restraining. eventually, she will adjust to it. part of leash training is also training the pup that SHE is not in control and other basic training will help teach her that you are the boss

don't forget, she's the puppy, you're the human, hence, you're the pack leader, the boss. she'll eventually get used to it, so don't stop. by stopping something just because she puts up a fuss, like bucking or biting at the leash, etc., this sends the message that she can manipulate you, and she will see a chink in the armor. maintain your leadership role, with firm but loving control over her, all with her safety in mind. you cannot let her roam on your walks without a leash. she could get hit by a car, attacked by other dogs, all the dangers out there...you have to protect her and the leash is her protection while you're out on walks or what-have-you. good luck!!

Your puppy might like a retractable leash better. Only problem with that is once trained on a retractable that is 14 feet it is hard to train on a short leash! I use a retractable for my dog since she was a pup, she is 2 now. The retractable gives her more freedom to sniff and roam.

The problem with most people is they just whack a leash on and expect the dog to know what to do. The best way is to hold a treat in front of its nose and let it follow, when it does give it the treat, no pulling on the leash. (Im sorry i dont know your situation, but just a suggestion)

try putting it on in the house and leave it on her for large amounts at a time. just let her drag it around. slowly start picking it up and having her go where you want her to go. also no puppy likes a leash, so it's normal

All puppies act like they are being killed when on a leash. Keep working with her, ignor her behavior even if she is screaming and carrying on. Be sure to reward her with a treat when you pull on the leash and she comes to you. And be sure to reward her when she learns to walk by your side.
Reward and patience is the key - and lots of cookies to enforce good behavior.

Leave the leash on all the time so she gets used to it then take her for walks inside first then take her out to see the world.

You need to get her a new leash and collar. Trust me....she has negative associations with it. Been breeding and raising American Bulldogs for 12 years and it works every time

You should try to put him on it one day and if he doesnt like it make him like how do u do that by training to put it on or u can do this have a sandwich bag of doggie treats and tell her to sit be like good girl and give her a treat than put her leash on than give her another one keep on doing that until she gets adapted to that method.
