The idiot behind the dog

2007-02-15 12:22:13 · answer #1 · answered by Vero 1 · 3 0

I find humans to be more vicious than dogs. My doberman is the sweetest most lovable and affectionate dog. Don't let people tell you they are mean (I love lucy!!!!) they don't know what they are talking about. They haven't been around many animals if that's the opinion they have. Big Red (got your back, girl) is absolutely right, those little dogs bite alot more often! They have bigger tempers but smaller teeth, so you don't have breaking news headlines that someone just got bit! I've heard the term "ankle biter" but I haven't heard one for large dogs. Does that say anything about vicious breeds? It should, and it should tell ya it's not the large breeds.

My doberman is definately not vicious nor is any other i have owned. The most vicious breed i have encountered is the jack russel. Just because it isnt big enough to kill someone doesnt mean its not vicious. I foster abused dogs and i now refuse to take on the smaller breeds because i have been bitten by more of them in the first year i fostered than i have in the last 6 of fostering the large 'dangerous' dogs. My son has been bitten twice by a neighbours 'sweet little dog'. He isnt the only one it has bitten and when i complained to the authorities they almost laughed at me, yet i have had them threaten to take my bull arab and have him destroyed just coz he growled at someone. Personally i have found the smaller toy breeds to be the nastiest.

Where is dobie gang when i need her to help defend the beautiful doberman.

There is no such thing.

I have a Doberman Pinscher and he is very sweet, BUT he can hurt somebody IF i weree in trouble. I believe all dogs CAN Hurt someone and i belive that it its the OWNERS fualt.
The reason People say that rotties, dobies, pitts, and german shepards are "mean and viccious" is because the are powerful Dogs, and have the potential to severly hurt someone If they are improperly trained, or raised.
But if you are looking for a dog that is vicious ( which i doubt, but this is for anyone who is cruel), buy one of those dogs and chain it up to the backyard and dont feed it for days at a time, that will make you a real man.

Temperment runs in LINES not breeds, and enviorment always plays a part.

However, I am going to answer your question.
In my opinion the most vicious dog is the wild hyena. Hyenas are not really dogs they are just as closly related to the mongoose, though. As far as domesticated animals go there is no most vicious breed. There are individual dogs in every breed that I would trust with my life and that of my own infant.

Honey I am an animal lover but if it were up to me I would say a pit bull. it depends how it is trained and restrained. I have seen some of the damage a pit bull can do. It is bred onto them. It is not their fault just it's nature. I am not putting them down but some people do not takes the time to properly train them and when out doors they need a lot of restraints and fencing to keep them from hurting someone or something. I saw one that some one drop ed off and it got my neighbors Dalmatian and it almost died. /they had to put the pit bull to sleep. once they get the taste of blood they will keep it up. It is not a dog you want to let run loose. God bless.

No breed of dog can be defined as "vicious". Any dog can be allowed to become evil and possibly kill someone if he/she is not raised with leadership, socialization, love, and care. With enough neglect, and breed, from AmStaffs to Goldens to Cockers can become mean and nasty.

No breed is inherently vicious. And while some ignorant people may immediately jump to say rotties, dobies, and pitties are the most dangerous, I personally have had more run ins with angry chihuahuas.

Truly and honestly there is no such thing.
Any breed of dog can be viscous if they are not
socialized as a puppy.
Remember the owner plays a huge part on how the puppy will turn out.
If you get a puppy and socialize it with everyone it will not be viscous.
The only kind of viciousness you will see is the licking.

It's not exactly a breed, but wolf hybrid (domestic dog crossed with a wolf) is 'way over-represented in bite and attack statistics, considering that there aren't too many of them. I heard a vet say that with a wolf hybrid, it's not a question of whether they'll attack someone, it's a question of when they'll attack and how bad the attack will be.
