She just turned 1yr on Jan 1, had her first heat at 10 months old, is a virgin, and is otherwise healthy, active, and happy. Her last two little nipples on her tummy have become like little breasts. She starteded to develop them around the time of her first heat ( two months ago). Someone asked me if she had pups, but I know for sure she is a virgin since she is always with me since she was a baby. Is this normal? My other girl cocker spaniel never had these, although she was fixed at a young age, so maybe that is the reason. Does anyone know about this?

My 13 month old golden retriever has had a pink nose lately. It has been very cold outside lately so would that be the reason and if so, why?

I have been using Frontline and K9 Advantix for the past couple years. It hasn't gotten cold enough to kill the fleas here this season and the cost of buying this stuff for 2 dogs is getting expensive. Does anyone know of any cheaper brands that actually work? I've heard Heartz brand doesn't work at all and I've also heard that Zodiac works, but I am reluctant to try it because of the price. Do the cheap ones you get at pet stores actually work?

I'm leaving in about 3 years for college and I'm not sure if I should get a dog or not. My mom won't let me get one for another year because she's going to school and won't have time to clean up after the dog. I try to tell her that I'll clean up after the dog, but she doesn' believe me. Plus, I'm the only one in my family who wants a dog and after I leave for college I'll have to leave her with my family. Is it worth it to have my own dog for 2 years and leave or should I just wait 'til I have my own place?

When we let our Cairn Terrier outside (fenced yard) to do her job, she turns around and barks hysterically and spins in circles and keeps barking for at least 2-3 minutes. I've tried to just shut the patio door and walk away, I've told her NO BARK! I've even chased her with a broom one time on a day when my patience was not good. Any suggestions on how to stop this annoying habit would be appreciated. I think she wants me to come out and throw her tennis ball (just a guess) but I obviously cannot do this everytime she is let out. fyi - I make her sit before each and every time she goes out.

I have one crazy dog, but he's great. I've never seen a dog with such personality. Does anyone experience any of these things? He likes to roll around on his food before he eats it. Gets very mad when left alone and likes to destroy things when he is. Goes to the bathroom on rug when alone, on purpose. We have to makes sure he doesn't go outside alone, because he'll run into the road. Hides food under my pillow!! And he must have a bedtime snack or he will bark all night.

acting differnt and whining alot. The next day they seemed worse. And yesterday one of the biggest ones died! I have 3 left and none of them will even walk around any more. I seen one of them throwing up clear stuff with white stuff in it. The mom to the pups will not eat like she was, she will not even wat a whole cup a day. She still cleans up around the pups so I dont know what the pups poop looks like, but the moms poop is fine. The pups have never been on the ground. Can someone please help me?

We have a Scottist Terrier that has the dirtiest ears we''ve ever seen. We clean them out at least once every two weeks, sometimes more often, but it doesn't seem to matter. They get caked up with dirt and ear wax to the point that it looks like they have never been touched. And he is an inside dog for the most part. I have never seen him roll in the dirt, so we haven't a clue as to how they get so dirty.

Vet doesn' t have a solution. We've asked already. Is there anyone else out there who has a similar problem with their dog, and has found an herbal solution? The poor little guy shakes his head all day long, and is in constant misery as if some bug or something is crawling around inside his ears tickling the hairs. Any helpful remedies or input would be most appreciated.

This may be a weird question, but when you refer to (the very beautiful) Doberman breed, what's the plural? Is it Dobermans or Dobermen? (I know you can say Doberman Pinchers but lets face it, not many people say that!)
Thanks for your help!!!

I have heard that any husky, given the opportunity, will run away and keep on running. I have also been told they are almost impossible to train, even if you are an experienced dog-owner. Surely this can't be true or why would anyone have one?

My Pom's nose has always been a light shade of black, ever since we got her a year ago. We used to go for walks daily back in summer, but then we quit doing so after she got attacked by another dog while we were going back home. Lately though, her nose has turned a light shade of pink. I didn't really take much notice to it at first, but it's been going lighter and lighter. Is it beause she's not being taken outside anymore? Or is it something else that I should have checked out?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I hate having to worry. D:

Looking to buy a pure bred online. How does one know that these breeders are legitimate? Are there any pertinent questions I should be asking? I don't want to pay for something I might not receive or get a sick puppy or god forbid it arrives dead.
