We are purchasing a male great pyrenees puppy from a breeder. We would like to have 2 from the same litter, both male.Is this a good or bad idea? My only concern is the possibility of the males fighting and not getting along.Does anyone have 2 male pyrenees raised together? If so ,what are the results?

I work with rescue dogs and would like to look into making t-shirts to help raise money for them, maybe using transfers, but I need the basic pattern.

Hi, I have a 6month old MinPin, he has had some difficulties with the change of food etc. so the vet recommended us to not take him outside cause he was so sick for a while but he is all good now! yay..
anyway, I have the peepads in the kitchen which he is using perfectly, I take him out 3 times a day for long walks but he doesnt see to get that he should hold it..

Im sure the time when he wasn't allowed out on walks set him back a little in his housebreaking training and I've heard from several people that MinPins are pretty hard/stubborn to housebreak ..

Any recomendations to what to do or should i just keep doing what im doing and eventually he will get it?

Thank you for your help! :)

I just got a new puppy the other day. It is a Jack Russell. It's about fifteen weeks old and it was an outdoor dog. I need to keep it indoor because I'm in an apartment complex. I have read about crate training, about making it sleep in the crate at night. Problem is that it cries loud and I'm afraid the people upstairs can hear it. And if I give it free roam of the house it uses the bathroom everywhere. I need to get it potty trained so it will use the bathroom on the puppy pads I bought for it. How do you get one trained so that they learn they have one spot and one spot only? Any advice on what to do and train my new pup?

I am going to get my 2 y/o shi tzu neutered. Am I making a mistake? Does it stop them from "hiking" on things? He doesnt "hump" on anything, he's just really hyper. What things should I expect to change? What changes might I see? Is it worth it?

Thanks!
XOXOXO

to walk on a leash. My pup is 3 months, is he too young to use one of those training leads, ect?

Or should I wait to do this after his puppy obedience classes?

So, as I indicated in my last post, I just adopted a dog yesterday. He was a stray, so I don't know what his name was (he is 3). The shelter named him Banjo, but he doesn't seem to be stuck on it (he doesn't repond) and I don't like it.

I want to re-name him.

I need some suggetions :)

He is a boy, he's three, he is very small for a cocker and he is just lovely. Any ideas? Thanks! :)

For the past few weeks, my dog does this thing where she'll rub her nose on her food bowl, sometimes push food out of the bowl or scoot the bowl around and push her face against the bag of dog food (which is right next to her bowl) in a very obsessive-compulsive way, and start whining loudly. Then she'll eat a few bites of food, and the whole process will begin again. I give her the same food she's had for months, and she liked it when I first gave it to her. She seems to be fine other than this problem. I give my cat canned food, which is served in the same room as the dog's, but it's out of the dog's reach. The dog likes to get into the garbage to get the cat's food and sometimes (eww) eats the cat's litter. Could my dog be jealous of the cat's food? If so, why is she acting this way NOW? I've been giving the cat canned food for quite a while. Should I change the dog's food? I can't take this annoying behavior anymore!!

He does nothing for her, dosent feed her, let her outside, train her, take her to the vet, or even protect her when his son is mean to her. If I leave, im taking the dog with me, legally, can he do anything about it? Or is this the case where posession in 9/10 of the law? Serious answers only.

Thanks
