Most all dogs have certain times they shed,,,, usually their coat gets thick for winter, then in the spring because summer time is so hot they don't need the thick coat. I would try brushing your pet daily which will cut down on the shedding alot. I have a corgi and I brush him daily and bath him with dog shampoo and conditioner weekly. He hardly ever sheds now. Try this I hope it works for you. Good Luck!!

It's not the hair but the dander that causes an allergic reaction. There are a few products on the market that are geared towards reducing the allergy-producing elements in the dander, and some that claim to help allay the shed of dander all together (although, I don't know how prone I am to believe this). The hair shedding is often blamed as the main issue, as each of those little hairs holds microscopic dander. I would recommend talking with your veterinarian about how to help make your dog less allergenic, and also respect the fact that your mother and brother are both allergic and there may be nothing that can be done to make it possible for the dog to be inside.

Bathing your pet on a weekly basis can reduce the level of allergens on fur by as much as 84%. Although products are available that claim to reduce pet allergens when sprayed on the animal's fur, studies show they are less effective than a weekly bath. Even cats can become accustomed to being bathed; check with your veterinarian's staff or a good book on pet care for directions about how to do this properly, and use whatever shampoo your veterinarian recommends.
Perhaps you could begin with one day a week, when you have just bathed your dog, then let him in for the day. Your family may be more allergic to the grasses and pollen your dog brings in, than the dog itself. I know this is where I have the most problem..Thankfully I am not allergic to dogs or cats, but I sure am allergic to the outdoorsy stuff they carry in their coats!
Keep one area that s a pet zone, such as your own bedroom, where you can give quality time with your dog..
If you do the above, perhaps your family will discover that they are not so affected by allowing the dog indoors..
Brush, brush and brush some more, before bring the dog in at any time.
Be quick to vacuum everywhere the dog has settled..

You might be feeding the wrong food. Sometimes dogs shed if their food isn't agreeing with them. Its not the hair people are allergic to its the animals saliva and when the animal licks its self to "take a bath" the saliva gets on the fur. There are products you can find that help cut down on shedding like Lo-Shed for instance you could try that. Or you could tell your mom that its considered animal abuse to leave a dog out all the time and if anyone decided to call animal control you could have your dog taken away. That's no lie!

You should find your dog a new home where it can live in the house as part of the family. No dog should be forced to spend its life in a backyard. Your mom is allergic, and there is no way to change that.

Ask her to get you the book Sneeze Free Dog
This book gives breeds of dogs that are good with people who are allergic
The book tells you how much work needs to be done.
It also says that not everyone can have a dog.
It is a good book
I got it for a boy I know with your problems

Question is do you love your family more than your dog. If the roles were reversed and you struggled to breathe everytime a pet was around I think you would wait until you had your own place before you made other people suffer.
