I have a Pembroke Welsh Corgi (similar to the Cardigan) and both types of Corgi's are known for their shedding!

It's not fair to keep any kind of dog outside all the time, but Corgi's suffer a lot because they are so people-oriented. If they could, they would be with their people constantly, and it really hurts them to be stuck outside all the time.

You can bathe your dog weekly in a special moisturizing shampoo that won't dry the skin out. Keeping your dog clean will reduce shedding and reduce the amount of dander that comes off the dog's skin. Brushing the dog every day will help, too.
Feeding a high quality dog food will reduce shedding, and has the bonus of making the dog's stools harder and easier to pick up!
You also might try being really zealous about housecleaning (vacuuming every day) and not allowing the dog in the bedroom where your mom sleeps. Buying some kind of HEPA filter for the house will also help reduce allergies.

Ultimately, though, if your mom won't let the dog inside no matter what you do, you really need to think about finding your dog a new home. That may be the kindest thing you can do for your dog, since she won't be happy outside all the time.

If you live anywhere close to Alabama, please email me. I'm looking for another Corgi to keep my first Corgi company.

Sincerely,
Rita

it is no longer the hair although the dander that motives an allergic reaction. There are some products on the marketplace that are geared in the route of reducing the allergy-generating factors interior the dander, and some that declare to assist allay the shed of dander all jointly (even if, i do not recognize how companies i'm to believe this). The hair shedding is in many cases blamed because the numerous concern, as each and every of those little hairs holds microscopic dander. i ought to signify speaking along with your veterinarian about a thanks to assist make your canine a lot less allergenic, and also appreciate the actual incontrovertible actuality that your mom and brother are both allergic and there is no longer some thing which could be achieved to provide the probability for the canine to be interior.

corgis are huge shedders... you need to brush your corgi everyday.. corgis are also not outdoor dogs,,,, perhaps it would much kinder to the dog if you could let him get adopted to a home where he will be an active part of the family and household since your mom and brother cannot be near dogs.... i wish you would have thought of this before getting a dog

Actually, instead of a shampoo or any other "quick fix," you might want to take your dog to the vet and check his/her diet which can cause shedding.
