She just turned 1yr on Jan 1, had her first heat at 10 months old, is a virgin, and is otherwise healthy, active, and happy. Her last two little nipples on her tummy have become like little breasts. She starteded to develop them around the time of her first heat ( two months ago). Someone asked me if she had pups, but I know for sure she is a virgin since she is always with me since she was a baby. Is this normal? My other girl cocker spaniel never had these, although she was fixed at a young age, so maybe that is the reason. Does anyone know about this?

Have you discussed this with your vet yet? I know that non-spayed dogs can develop what is essentially breast cancer, and also uterine cancer. It could be indicative of those. It could also be a ghost pregnancy, where her body tricks her into thinking she's pregnant and she's building up milk in those two milk ducts, or it could be cysts. Regardless I would take her to the vet for diagnosis.

It could also just be a simple side effect of her hormones acting up due to her heat cycle, but to be on the safe side I'd have it checked out.

Are you planning on getting her spayed?

If you love your dog why haven't you had her spade. Do you realize she is now at a greater risk of getting cancer.
