Yes, if neither is fixed. Those little breeds will try anything! When females are in heat they will accomodate. Thank goodness it was not the reverse situation! Many small dogs are injured badly when a bigger dog tries to mate with them. Often the pups are too large for the smaller female to carry and deliver without complications.
Please have them spayed/neutered to prevent this.

YES. Any intact male dog can impregnate any intact female dog - any size any breed - as long as they can reach. And the pit could have gotten down to the poms level very easily.
