Assume 1 or 2 dogs, probably no more than 3. I have to be able to spend about 1 hour in one spot, one location (digging, recovering burried gold). The neighbor has dogs when last checked. I have not done any reconosance as the property is about 3,000 miles away. I just have to get in and get out.

I was just wondering if people give their dogs a room, let them go outisde, let them slep anywhere, and also where not to put your dogs. Thanks!

I have a 6 month old Beagle/Blue Heeler Mix, and he seems to urinate all the time. We take him outisde, he urinates, and 30 minutes later he urinates on the floor. Since about 3 months he was going outside just fine and went weeks without accidents. This frequent urination just started a week ago. Tonight he jumped up on our couch and urinated all over it. This is very unusual to me and I am not sure what to do.

However I do have to clean his eyes every morning due to a large amount of mucus that he develops overnight. Can anyone give me some advise? By the way he is 8 weeks. Thank you

Our 1-1/2 year old, male Golden Retriever expels an awful, silent noxious cloud of gas wherever he goes. Picture Pigpen from the "Peanuts" cartoons and instead of clouds of dirt following him everywhere, it's dog gas.

It's so bad it makes it hard to think or concentrate. You want to brush your teeth every time you accidentally inhale it.

Besides some sort of charcoal-filtered doggy underpants, is there any solution for this problem?

He's been eating Hill's Science Diet, Large Breed, most of his post-puppy life and has recently undergone a two-week gradual switchover to Nutro, Large Breed, Lamb & Rice. It hasn't helped.

Any ideas? Thanks!

My uncle was once bitten in his hand by a Doberman. My cousin told me that he had to go to the hospital, get a tetanus shot & then 25 shots of rabies vaccine in his stomach. This was 12 years ago, but I'm curious to know if it is still done the same way today, or is there a much painless alternative in use today (i.e. single shot, everything cured)?

My 2 Year old SAR German Shepherd nips people...I've alpha rolled him, but he still insists on nipping. What do I do?
He' fixed, and has never posted a threat to anyone before. He does bark at anyone who come thru the door, but after he realizes who it is, he backs off. He's enrolled in Shutzhund, obedience, agility, everything, so he's not bored. I'm lost...help.

All of what I've seen about puppy-mills and petstores being supplied by puppy mills has been Animal Rights propiganda, or deffinantly looks like it. That said, does that mean that the deplorable conditions we've seen as puppy mills are not indeed the standard for commercial breeders?

From what I understand, and I'm new to this so correct me if I'm wrong, PETA animal rights actovists types are, as a rule, full of crap, so that would make the idea of petstore pups being from puppymills full of it, too.

Now, yes, there are pictures and clips, but there are horrible conditions out there, and that's a fact. Thing is, does photographing them and documenting them automatically make that the norm?

Sorry if I've ticked anyone off, but both sides of the issue are looking bogus. AR for obvious reasons, and purists because they really don't want any dogs running around without propper papers.

My dog lola is very fat. She is a beagle. My eco teacher says that his beagle is fat too. Is this a common beagle trait? Is it common for beagles to be bulbous?

He's a 5 month old Dobernan and I think he's playing. He also tries to grab his leash. Does this happen to anyone else? Is it because he's a puppy?

I will have a month off of work (between college and 1st job) and am thinking about buying a puggle. I will be able to train/be with it all day for that month, but then start working 40/hrs a week and im wondering if many other people do this or not. I know I will walk and play with it before i leave and of course when I come home each day, but i still think that i might feel bad leaving it alone by itself for so long during the week! Also for those of you who do leave your dog alone, do you let it roam around the house? or keep it in one room, or a cage? A worker at a pet store told me I should leave it in a cage or crate or something like that (i will not buy from a pet store though, only from a breeder) Just trying to find some answers that I havent been able to in books! Thanks!
