it was gray hounds type in your browser(attack dogs used by spainards it will pull up alot of interesting links hope this helps the only dog mentioned that i seen was gray hounds it was in very grusom detail too

Spanish Mastiffs were used as guardian dogs that will attack intruders/threats to their owners.
Great Pyrenees are from the region between France and Spain - also can be good guard dogs
