My 11 month old golden retriever has a dry and very warm nose. Plus certain areas of her body are warm. Do you think she has a fever? Or, do dogs just sometimes get like this? A few days ago we brought her to the vet because of a bladder infection and she has been taking her medicine and is doing better...so i dont know if that has got anything to do with that cuz she wasn't like that yestarday, the day before, or the days before that...

How To Clean Your Toilet

1. Put both lids of the toilet up & add 1/8 cup of
pet shampoo to the water in the bowl.

2. Pick up the cat & soothe him while you carry him
towards the bathroom.

3. In one smooth movement, put the cat in the
toilet & close both lids. You may need to stand on
the lid.

4. The cat will self agitate & make ample suds.
Never mind the noises coming from the toilet, the
cat is actually enjoying this.

5. Flush 3 or 4 times. This provides a "power-wash"
& rinse".

6. Have someone open the front door. Be sure there
are no people between the bathroom & the door.

7. Stand behind the toilet as far as you can, &
quickly lift both lids.

8. The cat will rocket out of the toilet, streak
through the bathroom, & run outside where he will
dry himself off.

9. Both the toilet & the cat will be sparkling
clean.

Sincerely,
The Dog

I just got a puppy from the pound and she's very undernourished and skinny! She's very young about 4 or 5 weeks, and evertime she eats she gets diarrhea. Whats the best way to fatten her up and keep her food down?

I have adopted a dog that was in a crate for the first 6 months of life. I have had her for a month and she is an absolute pleasure except when I have to leave her. Since she is still chewing and not completely housebroken I chose to crate her when I leave. Upon return she is absolutely soaked with drool. It looks as if someone has sprayed a hose on her. I feel terrible because she must be having some severe anxiety when I leave her. What can I do????? She drinks 3 full bowls of water when I return (less than 4 hours) and is completely dehydrated. Any advice is welcome.

my neighbour has 2 dogs. she has had one for almost 2 years and the other for a few months. the older dog was puppy mat trained as they live in an appartment. when they got the new dog they both just started toileting everywhere. she has tried everything to get them trained and they just wont budge! its like they r trying to run them out of the house! they get in trouble for peeing or pooing and then waltz right back in and do it again in front of her face. she really does try to train them but nothing seems to be working. can someone please help her? the young dog who is the worse behaved out of the two is a cavelier king charles spaniel. she has a mind of her own and blatently refuses to be trained. its causing her alot of stress and heartbreak...

I've heard that you should spay ASAP, I've heard that you should wait until her first heat, but I'm wondering, dog's health in mind and assuming she will be ABSOLUTELY safe should the appropriate time come after her first heat, what is the right time?

There are reasons not to trust the answers of most, vets included, the most important is that most people are more concerned with controlling the over population than what will be best for the little b*tch. What's the right age to spay, dog's health in mind?

My dachshund, Angelo, is 1 yr old and suffering from severe pain in his front legs. The vet took x-rays and told me that he had a small fracture and referred me to an orthopedic surgeon. The orthopedic surgeon looked at the x-rays and told me that it was a birth defect and he will be in pain for the rest of his life, that there is nothing I can do. I feel helpless and need some answers for my baby boy.

german shepherds are well rounded
but not pretty pretty
pit bull best looking breed, strongest jaws
labrador mans best friend, just 1 breed in america . good hunters
Which one should i get . im experienced with dogs. youngest in my house 13 years old.
rank them from your perspective from greatest to least. dont rank the pits cause of what people say about them it is the owner who makes the mean and agressive.

At the begining of december my dog went thru heat she had an appt. to get fixed on dec14th but due to her going into heat my vet charged an extra $250 i tried to get the money together before her appt but could not so i had to reschedule for jan 18th (far enough so we all knew she would be out of heat) i also have a male dog that we had to keep seperated from her thru her heat cycle we kept him outside and her inside or her upstairs and him downstairs but there were about 3-4 times that they got together and went at it, but for the most part she did not want him. here it is about 2-3 weeks after her heat cycle and her nipples are still swollen, her "stuff" is no longer swollen. so at this point how, if at all, would i know if she is pregnate without going to the vet? (they will charge me a minimum of $199 that i want to use to get her fixed if she is not pregnat) we have kind of planned for her to be pregnate and arranged a few happy homes for pups but how do we know at this point?

I have just about had my last straw with my 8 year old dog. we adopted him at 6 years of age and he brought a lot of behavioral baggage with him. he is very needy, whiny and hates being put outside for any length of time. i have been told to ignore his whining and do not give him eye contact when he starts acting up. but that's not working anymore. he has gotten increasingly worse and when i completely ignore his bad behavior, he goes crazy and throws himself against the glass door. he is going to kill himself or break our house down at this rate. any tips?
