I also have Min Pins - and this is a BIG one at 10 pounds - u need to make sure that it is STAPH as it needs to be treated with the antibiotic that matches what type of infection your dog has... why do u think it is staph - what symptoms?- However, you should not try to self dose over the internet - you need to get a vet's opinion and prescription! - again, staph can spread inside and outside all over this short haired breed and would not be a pretty site- but it may not be what your dog's problem is - I would strongly suggest taking your dog to the vet tomorrow and let them tell diagnose the exact problem first, then listen to what your vet suggests. There are always alternatives to treat everything - but toy breeds are affected very easily by infections that are left untreated - Good Luck and I hope you take that guy to the vet's soon!

The best solution is to take your dog (Miniature Pinscher) for a vet for an exam and to look at the infection, so that they can administor the proper medication and instructions.
If you try to purchase medication for your dog online they will not administor without a perscription or verfication by the vet.
If you went to the vet and they administor medication then you should call and talk to your vet to get proper instruction for the medication.

If your dog truly has a staph infection don't fool around with over the counter medications; they will NOT work. Your dog needs to get to a vet immediately and get properly treated. Staph infections can turn the dog's whole body toxic and kill it. Get the dog to a VET.

how do you know that it is a STAPH infection. you should not be able to buy something online with out a prescription from a vet. Bring him to the vet.

you should carry him to the vet because sometimes a dog can die because of a staff infection
