~ Peanut Butter Delight ~
1 cup white or whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 cup shredded carrots
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 cup honey
1 egg
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C)
Mix together flour and baking soda. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour into a ring mold sprayed with a nonstick spray for 40 minutes.
Frost this cake with low fat cottage cheese and decorate with carrot pieces. Store in refrigerator.

I make my dogs birthday cake by taking:
1 lb of ground turkey breast
1 c. of oatmeal
1 c. of shredded carrot
2 eggs
3 T. of chopped parsley
mixing it all together and then shaping it into desired shape. Then bake it at 350 for about an hour (but the time depends on how thick you shape it). You can ice and decorate it with warm cream cheese.
I have tried more traditional cakes (made with flour and sugar) and my dogs got really really sick. I had my vet check my recipe and he said that it was fine, and he has even recommended it to some of his other clients.
