on their under belly. i you just have to look, it looks like a little scar.

Dog DO have a belly button (also known as an umbilicus). when the dog is laying on its back feel for the last pair of ribs, then imagine a line going across the belly. The belly button should be in the middle of the belly on that line. It will just look like a pale scar in most.

On dogs, their "belly button" would be right in the middle of their tummies; you may have to really search through the dog's fur to find it. The belly button is the place where the umbilical cord connects the baby to the placenta in the birth sac. Puppies do have this, but it usually heals so neatly shortly after birth that you can barely see it. (Sometimes the belly button area will become "herniated" and poke out, but usually it's flat and nearly invisible.)

Animals don't have a belly button like people--their are more like scars on the middle of their belly. You usually will see it if the area is shaved for any reason (ie surgery).

they don't have a mark left on their stomachs from where the umbilical cord was but that was attached in the same spot where ours would have been

my dog has one!!! its a round cirlce sticking up!! the doctor said it was normal plus he has 2 extra toes!!! :D i luv him!! his name is OZZY!! just perfect for him!!
