I'm thinking about adopting a boston terrier or mix from a shelter. I know someone with a boston terrier and really like its personality. Need some more info about the breed.

I asked your opinion about what to do about my cockapoo who has an aggression/biting problem. I received 12 answers from the group, the majority of you said I had no choice other than to put him down. You were all very kind in giving me well thought out answers. Your responses gave me the strength to do what I've known I needed to do for the past year. I had Bailey put down last night. I have a very heavy heart right now and I have been crying a lot but in my heart I know it was the right thing to do. Thank you for your support and a happy holiday season to all of you.

My dog is a 1 year old Shi-tzu and he loves the snow. But, when I take him out, he just wants to leap and roll in it. I find this entertaining for about a half hour, but then I'm sick of watching him run around like a mainiac(The Shi-tzu shuffle). If anyone has any good games or excersizes that my dog would enjoy doing, please share your ideas with me. He enjoys running & jumping.

My dog loves to look at herself in floor length mirrors, she even looks at her reflection in the glass on the tv stand and watches the microwave because she can see our reflection in it. She is always trying to move the mirror out of the way to see if there is a dog behind it. It is adorable when she does this and funny so we kind of laugh but I don't know if we should because I think it encourages her and I was wondering if it should be something we should discourage her from doing. Anybody have dogs that do this or have strange behaviors like this. My fiance says she takes after her mommy and spends alot of time infront of the mirror lol

He seems to urinate (not A LOT) often and its seemingly out of his control. Like just now I went in and he was laying on my brothers bed (ew) and I started petting him, and some urine leaked out , like he didnt have control of it. Sometimes when I am playing with him, with his chew toys and what not and we get rough, he leaks then, he doesnt take a full blown piss but some urine comes out and I cant ****** stand it. He seems to piss himself when he gets scared. He is the BIGGEST COWARD like EVERYTHING scares him. He wets himself when I scold him. Whenever I walk toward him he wets himself. Whenever I go to put him in his kennel he wets himself. I used to think it was because he was the most cowardly dog on the face of the earth because EVERYTHING scares him but Im beginning to think he may have some sort of bladder problem. It might be because he is scared of me.

Hi,

Could you settle this ongoing debate between and my friend. He has a two year old corgie dog. (His only pet) He leaves the house at 9.15am and usually is home by 6.30pm. He has a dog walker who comes in and walks the dog five days a week for half an hour. Other at lunch time. Otherwise she is there on her own all day. Is this cruel? Do dogs need company?

My jack russel dog is just over a year old.Last Thursday he started to lick everything (walls, furniture etc) He also started to chew everything in sight like plastic bags, leaves electric wires. It was if ha couldnt help himself and it was constant he was also making choking noises as if he couldnt swallow.Had him at the vet this morning and he thinks it is just going to be a habit but when he is doing this it is as if he cant help himself. He is settled now but am worried it will happen again as this is the fifth time he has done this.Vet says he is all right otherwise.Anyone experience this with their dogs as I find it very distressing.
