Dog's noses can be warm or cold; a warm nose is not necessarily an indicator of illness.
If the puppy is new to your environment and hasn't had much socialization before this point in his life, it wouldn't be unusual for him to be nervous and "shaky".
The best way to help him calm down is to be calm and consistent yourself. Get him on a regular routine of eating, sleeping, pottying and playing so he can anticipate what's going to happen next, and give him lots of love and affection.
Don't "mollycoddle" him, though -- that is, don't feel you have to hold him or carry him around all the time. He needs to learn that he can be sitting on the floor next to you, or in a room by himself, and he'll still be okay.

When my dog's nose is warm and dry it usually means he isn't well. If your puppy hasn't had his first vet trip for exam and shots, now might be a good time to take him.
Could be nothing more than an upset tummy due to change in food, but it can't hurt to have it checked out.

that's only a fantasy that a warmth nostril ability the canines is ill. All pups sleep lots, such as new child children. it really is common for them to sleep as a lot as twenty hours an afternoon. they in various of circumstances play for somewhat and tire themselves out right now, then nap, then get up and play, then nap, and so on. :) No concerns.

I have a 2 year old beagle. His nerves are shot. It is a new place with new smells. Beagles are snuggly dogs and like to be comforted and hugged. When he shakes, you hold him and thats what he wants so he will keep shaking. Give him a few days or some treats to make him happy and he will stop.

He lived in a barn? Did he ever get his vaccinations?
If he hasn't had vaccinations, he is most likely sick. If he has had vaccinations, it is probable that he is just insecure because he is a baby. I would just encourage him to explore new things around the house with treats (pieces of kibble).

DO YOU HAVE ANY HUMAN CHILDREN? HELLO, 8 WEEKS, HMM... AN INFANT STILL, THATS JUST PART OF BEING SOO YOUNG THATS WHY HE IS CALM WHEN HELD LIKE SWALDLING A NEWBORN BABY HE NEEDS THE AFFECTION OF "MOM"! JUST TO BE SAFE YOU MAY WANT TO TAKE HIM TO THE VET; HE'LL NEED HIS SHOTS AND TO BE WORMED UNTIL HE IS UP-TO-DATE. AND, YES, IT MAY HAVE BEEN TOO SOON FOR THE PUPPY TO HAVE BEEN REMOVED FROM ITS MOTHER. KD
