My dog is a lab mix, she is 5 months, and whenever she sees people she pees, I know she's still a puppy. But exactly how long will she have submission problems?

Treats like Snausages and Beggin'Strips. I always just think of them as dog food, so its okay, but I don't know if that's true. Anyone know what these treats are analogous to in people food (that is, is it like giving people multiple candy bars or something)?

Last night my 60 lb dog ate 6 packs of the chewy sweetarts and has a belly ack. During the process he digested some of the wrapped. He tore them into peices so he didn't swallow the wrapper whole but he probally ate 1 wrapper total. When I got home last night he throw up a total of 3 times and went to the bathroom fine. This morning he has diariha which I know is normal from eating candy. He have an accident back in Jan. and had to go to the vet and have surgery because he ate a box of soapy steal wool pads. I really don't want to hall him to the vet if he doesn't need to go because what happen back then. The vet I used to take him to has retired and I had to take him to a new one and they kinda treated me bad like I'm not a good pet owner. My dog has always behaved and never got into anything but this last year he has got into everything. He is getting older and it's like he's a puppy all over again.

I just adopted this cool dog his name is Jackson. he is a very calm dog.I recently had a dog put he passed away from kidney failure. I left him alone yesterday and within the half -hour he tore up three blinds took the wood of the window panes tore down the door blind ,pissed and did #2. I know this dog was rescued by someone so I guess he was a stray. He seems to be about 2 years old. I quickly purchased a crate to keep him in while we are away to house train any suggestions on how to get him accustomed how to use it. also he hasn't barked once. When i have pretended to leave to see how he would react he just whines a loud whine. well any suggestions and tips would be greatly appreciated thanks

Today on the news there was a report about a elderly woman's Terrier mix that awoke her in the middle of the night because her furnace was smoking and spewing cabon monoxide. Apparently she never changed the batteries in the detector. The firemen said it would have meant certain death had the dog not done so. Do you have any similar stories of a dog that (wasnt trained )saved someone?

Shes a 10month old Lab/Chow mix and a week or so she started gnawing on sides of her legs and base of her tail. I cant see anything but bare skin on her legs but within the bald spots on base of tail, there are bumps. They look like a b.b under the skin...no real head to it like a pimple. Im scared to look too close because the whole parasite/bug thing freaks me out. Can anyone give me a clue what it could be??

We have spent two years exhausting normal training methods with absolutely no luck. We see the electric collar as the only way as we live in close proximity to livestock and she has chased before. Does anyone know of any trainers that use e-collars in the leicestershire area? Also, how should we go about training her to not chase? should we correct her when she points/looks at the animals or just wait until she chases?

She is fine in the house and good on the lead. This is a last resort.

Lastly what do you think of the collar manufacturer 'Pac collars'?

thanks

Friend of mine on a farm has a Border Collie , a nice sweet gentel one thats started killing chikens chasing sheep live stock etc- I know herding is in their breed - but is there a way to rehabilitate a chicken killer ? my friend claims her other dog started killing chickents & her began after so its a learned behaviour .....
