The breed standard for an adult Shih Tzu is between 9 and 16 pounds. Most Shih Tzus reach their adult size between 6 and 9 months old. My 9 month old is 12 pounds, her mom is 13 pounds and her dad is 16 pounds.

I hope this helps!
