My dog is a lab mix, she is 5 months, and whenever she sees people she pees, I know she's still a puppy. But exactly how long will she have submission problems?

She's more of a quiet dog, and she goes to sleep a lot. But whenever she sees a new person, or a person she saw before she starts peeing.

Can't tell - it depends on her temperament and how she's trained. The more your get her out to socialize her, the better. Also, do a little obedience with her when you're out walking or at home. Keep the lessons very short and fun, use lots and lots of praise and a few treats. Dogs gain a lot of confidence when you train them because they're accomplishing something and you're praising them. More confidence = less submissive behaviour.

My best guess would be after she is a year old she will calm down alot. You might be close to being out of the woods soon though. Because by the time my puppy was 6 months old he had never had an accident in the house until last year around this time because he was dying. My uncle has a lab mix that did it till he was 5 but it is really rare. Usually alot of small dogs never get over this problem but yours is going to be a big calm dog and should be fine. Good Luck. Also if you train her right, never spank, and use lots of praise she should grow up to be a very confident dog and confident dogs never have submissive peeing problems.

Some dogs do it for years.
The best thing you can do is not to make a big deal out of it and just clean it up.
I have a male Weimaraner who does it once and awhile. He is now nine years old. He has done it all his life. It got better by the time he was about a year old but once and awhile he will still do it. He is not really a submissive dog and is a very confidnat out going dog. He is a great hunter and will fight for the right to retrieve the birds. He is not a submissive aminal but he does pee now and again. Usually when my husband or I are trying to get him to do soething he does not want to do.

i had the same problem with my dog (a mixed breed) and the vet told me that the best way to avoid this problem is not making a big deal out of it and just clean it up,,, the vets opinion was that my dog was doing it for attention and that when people come over my house the best thing was to ignore her until she clams down and then pet her......that's what i was told and it worked, she still pees sometimes but its a rare thing

Mixing dogs in labs is not good. That's what you get for buying to impress.. Go for the genetically unmodified variety. They don't take the piss.

Until she gains confidence. She obviously feels insecure.
