It is difficult.. BECAUSE and mainly because the urine has gone DOWN into the padding.. One way that I used and it is pretty good.. is to use 20-mule team borax... in liquid.. that is.. you mix the powder with water.. making sure it is thoroughly mixed... then soak the spot... put a heavy, cotton or absorbent white cloth over the spot and if possible.. something HEAVY on top of the cloth and let it be for the day.. the absorbent white cloth will tend to draw the odor and urine from beneath..

Nature's Miracle is the best way. No one explained how it works, so I will. It is an enzyme that eats and destroys the urine. The trick and key to get all of the smell out completely. So you may need a number of applications to get it all out. If you dog has bone this for a while, it will take more applications. Apply, let it soak in and wet vacuum it up. I have used it in my rug cleaner and it works real well. Mine is a steam cleaner and I have heated the NM up without any problem. Not boiling mind you, just hot. What you have to know is this: DO NOT stop using it, even if the smell gets worse. It gets worse because it is working, so do not give up. My rule of thumb is this. I use it however long it takes to get the smell out of the carpet even when it is wet with NM. Then I use it one more time just to be safe. Once the urine smell is gone completely, most dogs won't pee there again, because their scent is gone. My daughter has a very sensitive nose, and smells things no one else seems to smell. She has 1 dog, 3 cats and other pets. Yet, when you walk into her house, you would not know she has any pets. And Nature's Miracle is what she uses.

Natures Miracle. Go to a tractor supply co. store and get it for cheap. They have it at petsmart but it can be pricey Spray on th pee spots and let it sit for an hour. Spray some more and when that dries then use arm and hammer pet powder. my husband hates the smell of the powder because it's super fragrant, so windows open, and do it when he's gone

you desire a definite enzymatic purifier for puppy stains. Get Nature's Miracle at Petsmart or Petco or order on line. Its the only element that works because of the fact it breaks down the urine crystals and eats them. each and every thing else is basically a cover up. This product leaves no fragrance of its very own or damages carpets.

Try "Nature's Miracle"; it's available in most larger pet stores and on line. Make sure you clean not only the carpet, but the pad and floor underneath the carpet as well.

Elimin Odor from Pfizer... a spray available at the vet for sure. Its for cat pee (and we all know, or atleast I do, how disgusting that is) so I couldnt see why it wouldn't work for dog pee ,and it works for sure! It claims to destroy the odor causing molecules instead of just covering them up .... and big bonus; it smells great..
