If you are beating an innocent animal, you have no business having it in the first place. A dog does not know any better until it is trained to know better. Hitting an animal is not a form of training.
A good way of training a dog is through praise. Take it outside frequently around the same time each day. Wait for it to do it's business and when he does, you should then reward him for it. Then, he will want to pee outside all the time.
Also, if the dog is scared, it will relieve itself. His peeing on the floor could be his reaction to you beating him. STOP BEATING THE D*** DOG!
From the sound of it, you really should not have this dog. You are being cruel out of your own ignorance. The dog is a victim. You should feel ashamed of yourself. If I knew who you were, I would turn you in for animal cruelty.

People are arrested for animal abuse all the time. But, this sounds like it is more than just that. You have a personality disorder and perhaps a mental problem.
It is not normal for people to beat animals but it is usually something wrong within the brain of an individual that does. It also could be bad genetics, you must be a cruel, mean, heartless, negative, low life that gets pleasure from harming something that cannot defend it's self. Is this a power trip on your part? Does it make you feel good to beat a defenseless creature?
You need to seek help for yourself before you can help your dog. But I think it would be better if you just gave your dog away, someone like you have no business owning a dog.

Peeing can be a submissive response. If you hit him, he's probably peeing because he's scared and wants to signal that you're the boss so you'll stop hitting him. That dog has no idea why you're hitting him and if he learns it's because he's peeing, all he'll do to fix the problem is pee where you can't see him or run and hide everytime you come near him.
Beating a dog is never a good solution for anything unless what you're trying to do is get your anger out on an innocent creature.
The best way to pottytrain a dog is to take him outside after he eats and wait until he goes on his own, then praise him. Also, until you're sure he's fully trained watch him like a hawk and if he starts to go inside the house, hurry him back outside so he knows what you expect from him.

Personally, you obviously should not have a dog if you think by beating is an appropriate form of training. Your dog is probably peeing as a response to you hitting it. IT IS SCARED. Kind of like how children wet the bed when they are being abused?? Get the picture??
Shame on you. If I saw you hitting your dog in the street I would report you to the RSPCA and Police.

You're an idiot. Don't beat your dog!!! YOU are making him pee every time you do it.
You are making him submissive, and dogs pee to show submission. When he pees in front of you, he is saying, "See, I'm no threat to you!"
You need someone to show you how to train a dog properly. It will take a lot to undo what you have done now. It sounds like you've ruined this one pretty good. Someone should give YOU a good beating.

Shame on you. Let's start with the basics, NEVER hit your poor dog. You are only making your dog afraid of you. The best way to train a dog, is use a firm voice. Be kind and work with your dog, you will get a lot better response. You probably have him scared to death of what and where he can pee. Change your attitude and try something different, every so often, put him where you him to pee, and put papers or something there, he can associate where to pee........................it won't happen overnight.

I would think this was a sick joke if I didn't know someone who did this.
Don't beat your dog for peeing on the floor, it will make him worse. My brother in law does this to his dog and now he is messed up and gets scared and pees on the floor if someone approaches him. If he is house training when he starts to pee approach him fast and pick him up it usually makes them stop, then bring him outside to his spot where it is ok for him to go. Then when he pees praise him.
If he is peeing in submission check out this page it is wonderful http://www.dogdaysusa.com/behaviorcenter_urination.asp

Your dog is going to become a fear pee..er...They will become so scared of you they will pee just by you trying to pet them...It takes a lot of patience..Hitting has never been an answer when it comes to training...Often dogs will begin eating thier feces and lapping up their urine to avoid being beaten when thier owner gets home...Please give up the dog or contact a trainer for some help before the pup is ruined..If you cannot afford some professional help put the pup on a feeding schedule..take them out shortly after they eat and always reward good behavior with love and treats...do not acknowledge bad behavior inless it is a stern NO..Good Luck..:o)

Beating him is inhumane and cruel. It is showing him fear, not understanding. Say poddy outside and lead him to the door. Once he goes by the door, congratulate him, and give him lots of praise because that shows him that going by the door when he needs to go pee is good. then, let him outside on a leash and keep saying poddy outside. If he goes, you have to basically throw a party because that teaches him that its good. If he goes inside, as my dogs often do, firmly say NO or STOP, then lead him to the door, and take him out. Say poddy outside repeatedly. You need to show him how to understand, not to be scared of you hitting him. It sounds like he does not know right from wrong yet. So, when you hit him, it creates confusion and fear. Never cause harm to an animal.

Twit, you should not need to hit him. Get a few sheets of newspaper placed near the door and ENCOURAGE him to pee on that. then put the paper outside the door, they eventually get the hint. BUT another way is take it for a long walk and every time it pees praise him and give him a pat. Immediately he has a drink of water quickly take him outside and if he pees give him a pat and praise him.
Remember the next time you wet yourself, are caught short you are to be flogged. I reckon you will end up peeing again, in bloody fear of being flogged.
Our dog almost pees and poos on command now.
