He seems to urinate (not A LOT) often and its seemingly out of his control. Like just now I went in and he was laying on my brothers bed (ew) and I started petting him, and some urine leaked out , like he didnt have control of it. Sometimes when I am playing with him, with his chew toys and what not and we get rough, he leaks then, he doesnt take a full blown piss but some urine comes out and I cant ****** stand it. He seems to piss himself when he gets scared. He is the BIGGEST COWARD like EVERYTHING scares him. He wets himself when I scold him. Whenever I walk toward him he wets himself. Whenever I go to put him in his kennel he wets himself. I used to think it was because he was the most cowardly dog on the face of the earth because EVERYTHING scares him but Im beginning to think he may have some sort of bladder problem. It might be because he is scared of me.

I dont know why he is scared of me, maybe its because I am 6'5'' and the tallest in the family. ALSO for the longest time I was the ONLY one who would scold him when he did something bad, from that he may have gained the image that I was the "bad guy" or "mean one" and he saw it a being abnormal because NOBODY else scolded him. I dont know, what do I do? I just want to take him across the creek and let him go and get myself a mans dog. Im tired of this sissy ****. I dont want a cowardly dog, I want a brave loyal big dog, not a whiney scared little *****.

in response to yo LO or lo YO! or w/e. I am nice to him, I dont scold him anymore mainly because he doesnt do anything really bad anymore. I am REALLY nice to him, like all the time, I dont do anything, at least not anymore to intimidate him. So I dont know whats going on.

Some dogs "Piddle" when they get excited, scared or nervous about something. He might be a coward, but it also sounds like you might intimidate him to a certain extent and that he's afraid of you for some reason...Why don't you try being a little nicer to the dog?

You could try a "Belly Belt" on him, which is kind of like a diaper for a male dog - At least when he piddles, it won't be all over the place.

I saw your response that you're being nice - He's probably remembering the times you weren't...Dogs don't forget the past. I would just try to make friends with him - Give him some affection and positive attention...Shelties are somewhat of a "Nervous" breed, so try not to do anything to spook him.

If he's a young dog, he'll probably outgrow it. Otherwise, you might see a vet about medicines and suggestions to help control the problem.

Good luck!

Take him to the vet, they'll help you out there...maybe he just needs training of when to go to the bathroom, but on the other hand it could be he has a bladder problem but take him to the vet or to someone to train him for you.

My puppy too. Is your dog a puppy? Some younger dogs are like that and they leak when they get too excited. Mine seems to be like that when he gets super happy when he sees me and my wife. Anyway, I think they will grow out of it. I hope so, its very frustrating when i carry him up and he leaks all over me.

He might have a problem with controlling it, a trip to the vet will give you answers.
