I get just as pissed about the BYB as the next person. But when someone already has a litter of pups on their hands, why do the poeple who try to help them care for the pups get a thumbs down from so many?

I mean, yeah, spay the dog. We're all going to lay in about that. But the fact is, the puppies already exist! Why give someone a bad rating just because they're trying to help? Would you rather NO ONE give these morons any info on caring for the pups?

I recently read that boder collies are extremely intelligent.

Do you think there is a possibility that they could be more intelligent than some severly retarded humans?

I am writing a paper for my 8th grade biology class. Thank you.

I have done a lot with him and I show him non stop affection. The only time he is alone is when we are at work, then when we get home he is running, playing, I give him tons for treats for his good behavior. he sleeps with me every night. Maybe he is angry or annoyed when I leave him alone? he is so big and heavy now. I am the one who trained him, he listens well except when he gets into these tantrums...

The reason why I had ask the question was cause I am concerned, plus where I live we have kind of a problem with coyotes in the area, and the same goes for black bears, besides that the only time I let my dogs outside unattended but there is always an adult present. Plus one my neighbors had lost her dog and she had a pretty big dog, I don't know if it was due to coyotes but there have been actual reports of them coming even to area where people live. We use to not have that much of a problem with coyotes but it cause what we do and don't really think about it. The question is more likely would a coyote that has lost its fear of humans attack or get one of my dogs alone. When i take my dogs out on walks I never go alone.

ok, i have a 5 month old aussy shep. i think she is going to be the smartest dog in the world, but my bf thinks i'm nuts.

the other day she was sitting at her food dish which was empty kinda staring into space, so i asked her "what do you want? show me" and she walked over and sat by me and looked at me, so i said it again "what do you want? go show me" and she walked over to her dish, sat down and looked straight at the bowl and then at me. so i filled it. we have this flavoring stuff you can add to kibble so i picked up the two bottles we have, held them out for her and asked her which one she wanted. she sniffed both and then touched one with her nose. so i gave it to her. then later, she walked over to the sliding glass door (the door we go outside thru) and she flipped the curtins and sat and looked at us (she wanted to go out)

am i nuts? or am i just really intuitive with her? or am i making it all up in my nutty little head?

ok, this is going to sound like i'm jealous, and i kinda am, but still...

i have a 5 month old aussy shep. she's the sweetest thing. she sleeps on me or behind me on the couch, wants me to hold her toys while she's chewing on them, and loves to give me kisses and chew on my fingers (dont say anything about the chewing, i know its bad but she's learning that she can mouth, just now bite)

the thing is, she will wrestle with my bf and not with me, if he wrestles with me, she's on his side!! how can i get her to rough-house with me more? if i try, she looks for my bf so she can continute the match with him and gives me the stuffed animal instead!!!
